Pada-Wan
midway into the fight, obi-wan hits dooku, then we hear the sound byte from episode 1. the one where obi breaks maul's lightsaber. anyways, after we hear this sound, for some reason dooku immediatly swips at obi, but obi dodges it. WTF?

Darth Groovy
Some Advice young Pada-Wan. Try not to pick the movie apart too much, you will just start to hate it. Then when you realize there is really nothing else other than Star Wars you will in turn hate yourself.
Lunatic Jedi
It really bothers me when somebody is so obsessed with a movie that they find the similarities between sound effects in two movies.
Darth Groovy
Padantics everywhere, they frighten me. If I was Lucas I would want to get out of showbusiness forever now. I found like thousands of flaws in the Matrix, but nobody ever picks that apart . Figure the odds?
Kstar__2
like, sw fan are just more educated! thay can see simularities between movies, and matrix fans cannot j/k:D
C'jais
What do mean with "Obi hits Dooku"? As far as I know, Dooku never got hurt in that fight... And I fail to see the point entirely, are you just surprised that Obi dodges a saber coming his way, right after a certain sound byte has played? That it? Darth Groovy
Originally posted by kstar__2 like, sw fan are just more educated! thay can see simularities between movies, and matrix fans cannot j/k:D Well considering there is only one Matrix movie so far, it makes the odds a bit unfair at this point. zworqy
obi breaks maul's lightsaber WTF? I don't remember him doing that!? Didn't it fall down the pit with the two halves(!) of maul? BTW, I don't know what Pada-Wan is trying to say either. Should one of them or both have been distracted in some way or what??? PS. 100 posts -> Sith Probe Droid. Yay! Obi Did break Maul's saber. He cut it in half. Why do you think Maul was fighting with one blade? anyways, to the people who are asking what the thread is about, and poking fun at my padawan: Get of his back and leave him some room to breathe for cryin out loud. If you don't know what the thread is about, don't say: "What is this thread about?" as your entire post, because that is just.......well.........spam IMO. Ask him to explain his point and be specific in what you want to know. Thanks.
Sivy
george lucas has a habbit of re-using sound bites. in every one of his films he uses a certain sound bite of a man screaming, as some sort of trade mark i think. in all the indiana jones films and all the star wars films. most of the time it's when someone is shot. in TPM you hear it when a naboo pilot gets shot in the hanger. Darth-Nasty
there is a site that lists every mistake in every movie lets find that site for this fella then he can spend some time reading through that and we wont see any more fussy threads like this one
Pada-Wan
sorry i wasn't that specific. i just thought after i heard that sound, that obi-wan DID break dooku's saber just like he broke maul's saber in episode 1. So i was confused at why dooku suddenly recovered so quickly. I didn't realize that Lucas used that sound byte over just for the hell of it. Well, to be honest I can't even remember that mauls saber was chopped in half - all I remember was that he suddenly was fighting with one blade instead of two for some reason
Darth-Nasty
actually dooku was originally meant to fight with two sabers so maybe when they filmed it obi did break one of dookus sabers then they edited it out but the sound got left in it is a possibility:)

leXX
I do it all the time. I pick faults in every film I see. Everyone says I should get a job in continuity. I wish I didn't do it but I can't help it!!
