I posted a topic like this on massassi once and not a single person could understand my logic... or oppinion :D

Anyways i wanted to see if anyone had pictures/videos of the Lochness moster or Bigfoot It's just a little sience thing i'm doing about them... anyways cya.

P.S the thing they didnt understand is that i said you cant say it isn't real if you can't prove it isn't... but you also can't say it does unless you prove it does... but thats just my logical oppinion.

I don't believe in either the Loch Ness or Bigfoot. I think that is all fabricated hokum started up by locals to gain attention to otherwise boring parts of the Earth. I do however believe in the existence of extraterrestrials. I sincerly doubt the abduction stories but they fascinate me never the less. I doubt we will make contact with other life forms during my life time. The day we do though, is inevitable.

So...

Undiscovered species: Not possible

Flying little men: Possible

I like your logic and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter, Groovy. :p;)

The most famous supposed Bigfoot picture: (from the Patterson film)

Here

I couldn't find the famous Nurse photo of nessie. I'll keep looking. While you're waiting, check out this bad boy. Coolness!

Hm... I think the Lochness and Bigfoot are both real... only not as what we picture them to be. Same goes for the el Chupacabra (spelling?) the "Goat-Eating" thing from Central America..

Like Groovy said, perhaps just foke lore, but most foke lore is loosely based on something that really happened.. I mean, the Illiad, is obviously, not to true to what happened, but they're pretty sure there really was a Trojan horse that was wheeled into Troy... So yea, I think these things are out there, but maybe arn't as super special as we think they are.

And little flying men.. come on, how could they NOT exsist.. some scientists say the universe knows no boundries and you propose we are ALONE? (Well, you didn't, but I'll make an arguement on a non-exsistant statement anyway :p) I mean, the universe is billions of years old, and humans are only millions of years old.. and this solar system is a realitivly new system.. that gives other life MILLIONS of years to develope..

Look at human achievements in the last 100 years.. that's more scientific advancement in 100 years than we have had since the begninning of time! (Trust me on this, it's not something I made up, I read it somewhere credible, just can't remember where) There's no way there isn't some species out there that is capable of interstellar travel, the odds of nothing able to do that are astronomical (Don't mind the pun :p)

I think the main problem I have with nessy is just the lack of evidence. Most of the photos I have seen could be just about everything. I mean if that is Nessy than I have seen her in every lake and pond I ever fished in. I could be wrong I mean Loch Ness is one creepy body of water! It is so black that you could make up about any story and the villagers and tourists will fall for it.

Bigfoot is just garbage though. Anyone with enough free time such as some hick who lives in the woods with nothing more too do between hunting squirells could put that stuff together easily.

I am not denying the existence of yet undiscoverd species, but the fact that only one of these things is ever seen and that we have not seen any more by now kind of tells you something about this so called animal.

Like I said I think alot of people are fabricating alien sightings and abduction cases, however It may be quite possible that they have been on this planet.......though I don't know when. And the description could very well fit the genetic make up of a being from a lower percentage of gravity.......who knows. Fact is I truly believe that it is impossible that we are all alone in a big universe like this. I doubt any alien would want anything to do with us to travel such a long, long way away to come and study us. Crashland here, that is another story. Now I don't know how much truth there is to the roswell case but the part that freaks me out the most is the government involement in that area before area 51 went up. First it was reported that a "flying saucer was shot down" then it was quickly retracted to reveal an expirimental weather balloon that went down. The more I have read on this subject, the more loop holes I found. Fact remains is that something was being protected at this time and the government had threatened every one living near that area with there lives. Something happened there......and it disturbs me.

Well, you've got to think of it in prespective, about why aliens would want to study us..

Why do we trek to the middle of the rain forest to study animals there? Because we can, that's basically why

I use the comprison of humans studing animals to aliens studing humans alot

I mean, we can't get of Earth, a trek to the middle of the rain forest is a big deal, it's not easy, but we can do it

Now think of it in the aliens term, the galaxy is their earth, and we're the middle of their rain forest, I think there's plenty of 'reasons' aliens would study humans

*edit* and also.. I dunno about a cover up at Rosewell, it's possible I guess, but like my sister.. For a few days she was on this fit about how the crash into the Pentagon was a cover up, that a plane never actually hit the Pentagon, it was something else

All because she read it on the internet

You've got to be careful of your sources.. even trusted sources can't be trusted, you really have to go get the facts on your own the be SURE

Hype is easy to create

Actually I had seen some of that Roswell coverup story on the long documentary that preceded the Alien Autopsy back in 97 or 98. Anyways the part about the cover up intrigued me and I went and picked up a few books on it. As soon as I dig them out of the attic I will get back to you. I agree, personally I think about 75% of the stuff you get off the net is rubbish. Only edu and .gov sites can be viewed as credible by most of my teachers.

i watched a documentary on both these the other day which explored the authenticity of the most famous films and photos of nessy and bigfoot. and imo it successfully showed that they are all hoaxes. when it comes to stuff like this i won't believe it unless i see it with my own eyes but then i don't not believe it either. in the case of aliens it's hard to believe that we are the only planet with life.

Could Nessie be real? Yes.

The prehistoric Coelacanth fish was though to have gone extinct 65 million years ago and was discovered alive and well in 1938! Nessie could be another pre-historic fish that has survived without us knowing.

Could Bigfoot be real? Yes.

An african boy survived 3 years in the jungle by himself and when he was discovered he was covered in hair. This boy was nicknamed 'monkey boy' because he lived with a troop of monkeys. Bigfoot could be another 'monkey boy' who has not been discovered and has reached adulthood.

zdawg, i completely understand your logic......i dont understand why the people back at massassi are so stupid as to not understand, BUT THATS OK!

I do believe that there might be a Loch ness monster, or a bigfoot, but i definitely dont wanna meet either face-to-face unless i have a really, really big gun, or a LOT of football pads or a really big steel cage with me....otherwise, ill stay at least 500 ft away, thank you very much.....

I strongly belive neither of them are real, I mean, we have helicopters, we have satelites, we have advanced scanners, we have a lot of smart scientists, but still, no proof at all the bigfoots exists. And what about Nessie? I have no idea how many times little submarines has checked the entire lake, and found nothing. And , after all when I first saw the most "famous" of all the Nessie pictures, I couldn't simply belive that anyone could fall for a fake like that!

New undiscovered bug species in rain forests is one thing, big hairy bears in canada and lake-monsters in Scotland is another.

There are no real pictures of either Nessie or bigfoots, the only "eye witnesses" is some locals who has had too much to drink.

And your logic, ZDawg, disturbes me. It would be like if I said that I am really from Jupiter, and plans to empty the seas for salt, and my computer is really a one-footed duck, and this planet is going to blow up tomorrow. I cannot prove it, but you cannot prove that it is not true, and therefore you cannot say that it is not true.

Eh, actually they've found.. interesting things in Lochness, I believe, at least enough to keep hope...

And besides, just because it's there doesn't mean we have to know about it... We know the giant squid exsists, but we have yet to see one that's alive, even with our scanners and little submarines

The oceans are one thing, a lake in Scotland is another...

Even if it did once exist, wouldn't it be dead by now?

How in the damned hell should nessie have survived for millenia in a fookin lake?! If they kept breeding to keep the population up and avoid in-breeding, there'd be so many that we would have seen them more clearly by now.
