What do you love most about Christmas

Im not really into holidays anymore but Ill participate if everyone else right around me is. I dont expect any presents this year. Dont need em. Less money to waste on me. I can get clothes and stuff for myself.

One thing that ticks me most about Christmas is, well aside from all the commercialism which I despise with a passion , its the whole be nice to everyone season. As if Christmas is the only time to be happy and kind. "Its Christmas so make up with that guy who pissed you off." Arent we always supposed to be kind and courteous to eachother? When did it become once a year? Wtf? So in other words, be ****ty and mean and careless throughout the whole year but when it Christmas time put down the ax for a while and spred a little love.:):barf: Then you can go back to being an arsehole. :barf2::rolleyes::disaprove

Oh Im sorry this was about what you liked about Christmas. Well I guess seeing the bright decorations and fun parties.

your post reminds me of a line to a song I have... "bury your dead, but don't leave a trace; hate your next door neighbor, but dont forget to say grace"

about sums up this PC bull**** we gotta put up with, eh?

anyway, christmasy time... its a few things for me, I love seeing my house done up, seeing all my(small) family togeather, and for some unknown reason, the holiday music does somthing for me. eh....

I despise all of this "Let's pretend we for once believe in Christ and that we're deeply religious"-bullcrap. When my family go to church on that night, it makes me want to vomit, because they normally couldn't give a rat's arse about religion.

Christmas feels so forced, where you're stuck trying to talk to your whole hunchbacked family... bleh.

I like it because I get to sah BAH HUMBUG to everyone and I get more Grinch toys. This year my mother got me a 6 foot blow up lighted Grinch in Santa gear. It has one of those motor air pumps so it is easy to blow up. I put it in our yard to remind people that there is one sane person in this house and if you start caroling in front of it you will find cold water on your head. My hose looks like frickin North Pole every year with all the decorations and lights and what not.

Boo Christmas. If and when you actually start to celebrate JEsus then I will come and be merry but if you have to entice me with presents I POOP ON YOU (gotta love triumph).

Have Fun!

Well, don't worry about me Cjais...I'm not going to pretend anything. For me Christmas is about being with family and friends. I absolutely love the holiday season! Once it hits Oct 31 for Halloween, I'm usually in an even better mood! I just love the whole atmosphere of it!

I can't explain it really anymore then that.......:D

I agree with you JediNyt, JediNyt, and Cjais. I am not going to be nice just cause it is Christmas. I personally hate going to the relatives house and all your family is there and then I get the aren't you going to talk to your cousins? I only talk to the cool part of my family that isn't stuck up. I hate talking to my stuck up relative's. Just cause it's Christmas doesn't mean I am going to change for a month. Then I get told that I am the Stuck up one cause I am not talking. It's not my fault that most of my relative's can't carry a intelligient conversation on.

I also don't like the whole let's go to Church cause it's Christmas like Cjais said. You should act like that the whole year what's so diffrent about now?

Another thing that I don't like is the Ohh I am going to get present's. It seems like more people now a day's have just abandened the other part's of Christmas. It shouldn't be about what am I going to get. It should be more like I am gratefull for what I have. I have been shown that within the last year and it is great and better than getting present's. I guess I appreciate what I have more than I have ever before. Sorry for being such a negative person. :p

I like the smells. (I know, I'm weird) I love the smell of the tree when you first bring it in (we chop ours down), and the gentle scent it spreads through the whole house. I love the mustly smell as you open up the cardboard boxes that you stored in the attic to get to the ornaments and lights and leftover tinsel. I love the slightly sharp smell of wrapping paper scattered all over the room, usually centered on the big garbage bag that my mother always brings in to colect the wrapping.

Yeah, and presents are good too. :D
