STTCT'S Holiday Adventure

 

 

Southern California during Christmas time is the most dangerous time of the year. I want to know what happened to everyones Christmas Spirit .

 

Last Saturday, I almost lost my life over a parking space at Knott's Berry farm. You think I'm exagerating but let me tell you the story.

 

My friend and I were on our way to Knott's Berry farm to go Christmas Shopping at the Craft Fair. I was driving my little Corolla and we were hunting for a parking space. Well I see this old woman walking to her car and I turn my turn signal on and I wait for the old woman and her family to get into the car. I must have been sitting there for oh 5 min. OUT of the blue...it is hard to describe BUT this woman in a Pathfinder backs up her car from no where...like if she had already passed the space up and then backed up to my window.

And says to me "I tagged that spot" ....I looked at my friend like "WTF???"

I said "excuse me??"

she said "We tagged that spot - its mine."

I said "No I was here first - you came outta no where ...what are you talking about?"

she said "I already talked to them - they said it was mine. I'm getting it bitch"

 

I was soooo totally blown away. The woman backs her pathfinder up and parks it directly in front of me and directly in front of the woman who is going to back up. The woman is now trapped. The women in the Pathfinder (who looked about 40) were laughing and carrying on...they finnaly realised that she couldn't get outta the SPACE DUH! And I couldn't go anywhere. We were trapped in a one way aisle. And since the person in the Pathfinder, was acting like an idiot, I couldn't go anywhere because she trapped everybody. After a 15 point turn and almost hitting the Pathfinder the old woman finnaly was able to pull outta the space. She was shaking her head. And the Pathfinder almost hits me and gets the spot. I had not EVER moved from the original place where the woman pulled up to my window. It wasn't like I was challenging her to the spot. I really didn't want it. If I stole the spot I knew she'd do something to my car - they were acting like they were on drugs!!!

 

So I lost all my cool...and I'm usually a very shy person and I holler out my window because she was acting like she was going to hit my car "Watch your MF'en car B!tc*!!!!" and drove away. Now...maybe I should have kept my mouth shut. But I was infuriated at this woman. I could understand if we pulled up at the same time at the spot....you know...but this woman had backed her car up from GOD KNOWS where and thought she'd take advantage of small 23 year old girl in a corolla. I think that she REALLY didn't expect me to say anything to her.

 

Well my friend and I parked my car - way out in the boonies. I forgot my cell in the car. We start walking towards the park when here comes around the corner like outta a movie...THE PATHFINDER!! Like it was some sorta drug bust or something she goes to like RUN US OVER and pulls directly behind my car - these 40 year old woman jump outta there car and proceed to threaten and yell at me

 

"What did you say *insert any and all profanities here"

 

I said "You heard what I said!!"

 

she said "You didn't think I'd come over here did you!!!"

 

I said "NO - you gave up that valuable parking space for what??"

 

"To kick your ass!!"

 

Now my friend is 40 and she's 6 foot. Me I'm a whopping 5'4? And I'm pregnant!!! These woman try to attack me. My friend gets in front of me and blocks me in to a car and her. The woman start trying to get to me - completely ignore my friend because they knew she could take them.

 

I said "You know - I'm pregnant = I'm not going to fight you. You need to leave"

 

Then she says "Well we have a gun we are going to blow your ass away!!!" She then opens the trunk of the pathfinder, where 2 10 year old boys were sitting!!!! She *pretends to hunt for the gun. I didn't do anything we stode our ground. What were we gonna do...run??? We had no where to go - and I think that's what they wanted us to do so that she could grab me. I said

 

"You need to leave - take your kids to Knotts. Don't be stupid"

 

Then I got the "your stupid"

 

Then she pulled my hair and I slapped her hand away. Then she and the other girl are trying to distract my friend while one of them points her keys at my eyes. I said

 

"DONT point your keys at my face"

 

My friend shoves her and the girls get scared. They start talking about the gun again and then all these cars start piling behind them. My friend says call the police. I told her I couldn't....then I started to write down the girls liscence plate. Then they blew up again!!!

 

"OH well we're calling the cops too - we got your liscence plate..We got a gun you better not go into the park!!"

 

I said "whatever"

 

Then she blew up again. It was getting old. It was clear they were BS they couldn't do anything and all they were doing was behaving like ignorant people. Then they left. So then I call my mom who was already inside Knotts to grab a security gaurd. Well the girls were driving around the parkinglot yelling profanities and screaming that I better not call the f'en police!! I better not go into the park. And her kids were in the back making faces at us. Finnaly they sped away.

 

When I talked to the security at the park. There was *nothing they could do. The lady was clearly gone and they let me move my car to the hotel parking lot. It ruined my day and I'm still freeked out about it.

 

I just wanted to share this with you because I learned a VALUABLE lesson. There may be some genuine @ssholes in this world...that take advantage of people and get away with it - but you never know when you might say the wrong thing to a crazy person. These people were dressed nice, in a nice pathfinder and were 40 years old with 2 kids in the back. They still thought it necessary to threaten my life over me calling them a you know what for stealing a PARKING SPACE that was by all rights mine!!! Still I realise that you can get killed for much less and that some people in this world are crazy. I am so thankful nothing happened and I wish that I wasn't pregnant because I would have hauled off and hit the woman. She made me sooo angry. But I guess it was best I didn't. Just goes to show you that some people are really "GRINCHES that stole christmas"...and you know what is sad. Their kids were in the car and they just showed their kids how to behave like idiots. They thought because their car was bigger, because they were older that they had every right to take advantage of me.

 

Well the only good thing was - they ruined my day when they stole my parking space....BUT I really ruined their day when they had to go to all that trouble for it - to give it up - and they still wasn't able to kick my ass like they wanted to. They couldn't even go to Knotts because Knott's would not let their car in the park. So ha. But still it scared me sooo badly!

this just goes to show that there are idiots everywhere...your words, while not the best course of action, can be attributed to being pregnant...but you also should have gotten the closer spot because of that very fact. THEIR actions, are in no way forgivable or permissible even if their kids were not with them. I'm glad your friend was thoughtful enough to put herself between these women and you & your baby...the fact that these women took time out of their day to not only seek you out but tried to attack a pregnant woman is criminally wrong...I hope when they got home their husbands (if they even still have one) was as apalled as I am at their actions.

Wow. I'm so glad you didn't get hurt! I can't believe there's people out there like that. I mean, doing it to any person is bad enough but you're pregnant for goodness sake! I've learned from my father that you can scare people far much more with words than you can with actions but wow, if any mention of a gun would have been made if I was in a situation like that I bet I would have just totally flipped out and gone ape **** on them. And I wouldn't stop berzerking until they were on the ground. And I bet I'd be the one to get in trouble.

 

Do you have mace or anything like that? You keep yourself safe! I've never been so glad that I frighten people.

Anyway, i'm sorry this happened to you, STTCT...it's scary when you seem to be dealing with "crazy" people and you know you don't wanna deal with them.

God, and I thought I knew an @sshole, that's way worse than anything I've encountered.

 

Few people get that name on my list, but encounters such as these, and not just a normal you, this was a pregnant you, are sure to garnish them this title in my book.

 

For all that my book counts for, it's not a good read. Well, the world finds a way to balance things out the good with bad and the bad with good, you ca never have your cake and eat it to.

 

So take it as a sign of good times ahead.

well i'm; glad you're alright....i know if anybody ever tried to harm me or one of my friends, or especially my sister, i'd probably get an adrenaline rush and send them to a hospital. All I have to say is that there are crazy ass **ches out there. I would of been like oh you have a gun what are you going to do about it. Don't you know that there are video cameras all around us. I am sorry that happened to you. Good thing that everything is alright. I would seriously take them to court if I got there license plate number. Stupid people in SUV's. It's not about what you drive that should make you feel all big and bad. Then being 40 and all I know you could of kicked their ass. I would of taught them a lesson. What kind of people have a gun in the back of the car where the kids are supposedly sitting at. That's very smart and stupid. Probally was some dumb middle class old people. Thank God that everything is ok with you and your kid.

Ya - I totally agree about kicking their butts!!! I would have but the problem was, was that I didn't just have me to think about. It would have been the last possible resort. Un-pregnant me would have gone down swinging. I never wanted to hit someone so bad in my life. I wish I carried mace too or a tazer. I woulda zapped her butt. I thought she was being very foolish about the gun because I'm sorry - I'm supposed to believe that these women are going to gun me down at Knotts in front of a ton of people? Not to mention...when they didn't pull it out - I knew even if they did have a gun...if they don't have the guts to point it they don't have the guts to even shoot it. We were not scared that they did - but these people were acting so crazy I mean....u couldn't put it past them. I didn't call the police. I had the Knott's Security looking for them and they said they wouldn't be allowed to park in the park. And it was the "chips for kids" day. So the entire park was covered in off-duty cops. Where were those cops when we were being harrased in the parking lot??!? I was a little dissapointed that the people in the cars that pulled up after awhile did not do anything. I kept looking at this woman like...Friggin go get help but she just sat there gazing out the window!!! People do not like to get involved you know? I would have at least gone to the security and told them about it. Or got on my phone to the police. I didn't report it to the police because they said the woman really didn't do anything and they were no where to be found. I kinda wanted to never see them in my life anyways and god knows the kind of people they are. Just as well...one day they will try and steal a parking space from someone who really does have a gun. And then what? They won't feel so bad then will they?

well, if anything like that happened we could pull a giant convoy-type thing like in the story thread a while back and all go over to kick their @sses.

 

anyway, i'm glad you're ok. that'd really suck if they had followed though with the gun thing with anyone, but on a pregnant woman? what the mess is wrong with some of these people?!
