ZBomber
Airplanes... Have you ever ridden on an airplane? Do your ears pop? Do you take motion sickness medication? Well, I just took a plane into Florida, so I was wondering. I usually just chew gum on take off, I don't bother taking medication.
topshot
I've never been on an airflight, but I hear that changing you socks reduces jet lag. I don't know if that's true or not, it was just an idea that may be of use.

Wes Marrakesh
I fly at least once a year now that we regularly go to Utah for a skiing vacation. I really don't mind it that much ('cept it's quite loud) and I don't get motion sick. Altitude used to make my ears pop but it doesn't happen any more. wassup
How have you ppl not been on airplanes...I thought it was common in this time and age Anyways I go on a airplane at 2-3 times a year, mostly for vacation. Some flights are cool, most are boring. I love those airplanes where they have personal DVD players on the back of every seat and you can pick your own movie to watch. Had one of those during my trip to Europe.

Reborn Outcast
Well I fly 8 or 9 times a year and I think I've gotten used to it so my ears don't pop or anything anymore. And the changing your socks thing is a rumor.

Getting motions sickness is actually a good sign of your balance working perfectly normal. Not having it, while pleasant, could be compared to not feeling any pain when hurt in your left foot, for example. I've taken off with more planes than I've landed with! Parachutee? BigTeddyPaul
Best airplane I was ever on was when we went from Sacramento International Airport to somewhere is England. I was like an 18 hour flight. I went there for a school thing. It was pretty cool because it just happened to be one of my friends birhtdays that day and she celebrated it twice because we changed time zones. Pretty nifty. They also had little personal TVs in the chair in front of you which was cool. You could play Nintendo/Super Nintendo games (Mario, Punchout, FX racer etc), or listen to music which was mostly in other languages, or watch TV. They didn't have broadcasts but rahter like 18 different VCRs going on at once. I watched Dumb and Dumber 3 times, and that movie about the headless horsemen which sucked, and the Simpsons episode where he sprays in red paint that Mr. Seymor is a weiner about 9 times. You butt sure does hurt though once you get back up though. BigTeddyPaul

Clemme w/Stick
I dont take medication, and I usually chew on some chewing gum, to prevent the ear popping..! To fly is one of the coolest things to do, I wish I could fly everyday! -Clemme
ckcsaber
I constantly fly everywhere. I have friends in California and Chicago and family in London, Aberdeen, and Jakarta (Indonesia). Maybe around 10 times a year.
BCanr2d2
I have flown, from here in Australia to Europe, which in the end is about 21-23 hours in total, or if I think correctly, could've been closer to 27 by the time we got out of customs. I made sure every time I flew that I have some chewing gum to equalise the ears easier. It is actually dangerous to not pop your ears often enough, so chewing something does it for you easier. Being at the rear of the plane can lead to some motion sickness since when they start to descend it tips the rear up - try and get close to where the wings are. Other than the noise not allowing for sleep on an extremely long flight it is great, a totally different perspective on many things. Oh, BTW Malev Hungarian only have blonde hostesses, and those that weren't natural were dyed!!!
BigTeddyPaul
Anyone hear that Hotters is making an airlines. {salivates} I wonder what all the perks are for that airline. Aw screw it we only need one perk. Pilot over intercom: Ladies and gentlemen in case of an emergency landing please use your nearest stewardess as a floating device. Lunatic Jedi
I fly a couple times a year. I like flying. Gives me a chance to read and sleep and just enjoy some peace and quiet. I don't know about you, but for me, flights are usually pretty peaceful. Maybe its because the engine noise drowns everything else out...
