Kstar__2
ewan in USA weekend: His only irritation? Adult "Star Wars" fans taking things too seriously. "It's fantastic the way children ask you, 'How does the light saber turn on?' " he says. "But I don't like it when the adults do that, because they should know better, really. I've had one adult ask me for advice on how to be a trainee to become a Jedi knight. I tell people like that: 'You want advice to be a Jedi trainee? F--- off! That's my advice.' " take that you wierd adult star wars fans:p

leXX
It's so true. I consider myself a Star Wars geek, but I could never understand the fans who know the inner workings of a lightsaber!

BCanr2d2
Innocent questions from a child are fine, but super-geeks asking the inner workings of something that GL has devised and not Ewan is bordering on insane..... They are probably the same people who have the transporter physics theorised and whether it is possible to actually create one or not, with today's current knowledge. Darth Groovy
That is pretty old news actually. I am a total Star Wars geek, but I am more moved by the characters, species, planets and mythological referenced than by how a an N-1 Starfrighter flies, or how Jango's torpedoes work. ckcsaber
Heheheheheheheh........... [awkward pause] Glad I'm not an adult "legally"......... Nah, I am a Star Wars "geek", but more like Groovy, interested in the plot and characters. Not really in the little technical things.
Ratmjedi
That reminds me of Die hard Star Trek fans. Me and my friend were talking about Proton Torpedoes and what happened when Anakin shot them into the Droid Control Ship and so on. Then a teacher who was behind us tells us it's pronounced Photon Torpedoe. I was like I am talking about Star Wars man and then he got all but hurt about it. And why are you dissing people that know how a Lightsaber works? I know how it works and the properties of one but I am not going to go up to Ewan and ask him a question about something that I know that he has no clue about. Those guys make us regular Star Wars Geeks look bad.
obi
Man, Ewen is hilarious. He is one of my favorite actors. Not just he plays the best star wars character, but because he is a good actor in general. I too am a geek, but I mean, it doesn't leak through my pores.
Pad
i dont consider myself a sw geek. im more of a star wars fan, enthousiastic, but not too much. i mean, i dont wet my pants when i hear something new about sw. and besides, i never really got it why grwon ups would dress all sw and go standin in front of the cinema for days. Rogue Nine
I know how I lightsaber works, but only because I read that cool special in Time magazine that they did for Episode I. I'm not a Star Wars geek, but I know a lot about the Star Wars universe. I think what separates a geek from a fan is the amount of obsession that geeks have for it. C'jais
Geeks take it too seriously. Oh, McGregor also expressed concerns over the ungodly amount of CGI and blue screen recordings in Episode 2.

I am definetly a SW Geek, ever since Kindagarden (Thanks mom and dad for brining me to see it. ) I know a lot, about lightsabers, lightsaber crystals, ships, just about everything (not much EU). Some geeks take it to seriously, but if I ever got to meet Ewan, I definetly wouldn't ask him If I could be a Jedi Trainee....
Jedi Apprentice
Originally posted by Sivy B "i'm just waiting for the time i get to pull down my jedi pants and whip out my real lightsaber" Moulin Rouge 2? Ewan is a pretty stinkin' cool guy. It would get very tiresome of the crazies out there running up and asking how it felt to kill Darth Maul and how Anakin is as a Padawan. I think I would start punching people. I am also more of a freak like what Groovy stated. I don't study what kind of trees grow on Endor or anything like that. boinga1
y'know, i actually have some idea of how a saber works...but that was from books and I certainly ask an actor that..
