Sorry Neil, I liked it better when you weren't a mod, I thought once you became a mod things would lighten up because you "were one of us" and you would at least still be the same person, obviously not.

 

Besides, I'm not having fun anymore, and I don't appreciate the mods basically making fun of me, by combining those posts, mods shouldn't be treating forum members like that and I must admit I was quite insulted, I noticed you didn't say anything in my defence anyway, not that I expected you to, but I thought clumping all my posts together and coming up with an insulting name of a thread like that was just harsh. Besides no one else was posting, all I was trying to do was liven the harbor up. Whad load of good that did me, feel like the mods think I'm a laughing stock now. I guess if that's how they're going to treat forum members, than I'd rather not be in a place like this.

 

Another thing is, I'm just not having fun anymore, I feel like I can't enjoy myself anymore because I feel like everytime I do something the mods are going to turn around and delete it or edit it or whatever. So much for trying to liven this place up.

 

Although it's good to see that once I stop posting, basically everyone comes back. I guess that says a few things on my behalf...

 

Anyway, if anyone wants to email me, then that's fine, I don't really care either way, it's totally up to everyone what you decide to do.

 

NiKo- I'd love to stay, but like I said above, I'm just not having fun anymore and I don't see why I should be made to feel like a laughing stock just because the mods seem to think it's amusing to treat people like crap. I miss the old days of the harbor. I love ya hun, and take care with the army... make sure you let everyone know how you're going, I'll be devestated if I ever see you on TV as an Isreli soldier who's been killed. At least I can say "I knew that guy, not personally but he was always such a great friend"

The mods have laid back...give it another run. Hey, we've got 3 really old timers, myself included, and if you stayed its just one more element for rehashing the old days. The days of the three-headed monkeys. The days where you, Nattsy, were always so upbeat, calling everyone "kyyyyuuute :)" and saying "awwwwwwwwwwwww Niiko!!! :D" and things like that. Natty, you know full well that I don't agree with everything the mods do here, and I'm trying as hard as possible not to change to much due to my modship, but that's the way things work, now I've got responsibilities, I have to act in a way that meets those terms. please note that I only close threads that aren't needed,. not threads I would consider spam unless it blatently is spam. I didn't merge your threads, nor did I have any part in it, but then I didn't want to overule the mods here who did merge it. If i were to open a closed thread that I think deserved to be open or split a thread I think didn't need to be closed then what would happen? It would either be two mods tediously counter acting one another or we would just fall out and we can't really run a forum that way. I don't agree with everything the mods do here, but then again, I agree with a lot of it. these forums needed to be changed, I personally didn't like the reputation of this being a spam forum, it was bringing in a wrong crowd. then again, we need to find a balance and it seems to me that we have found this save fopr the fact that some members seem to be picked on (you) which I am sorry for. if any mods wish to adress this, then so beit. I'm not saying you shouldn't leave, if you don't feel like this is your home anymore, then move on and I hope we can still talk via MSN, I just don't want you to feel that way about me.

Natty, I know how you feel. When people turn mods, they change. They must change, thouhg Neil Hasnt changed much from what I see. If I were to ever become mod anywhere, I would hide it completely and act like a normal unmodded user! I would of course moderate the forum I was appointed too, but quietly so people wouldn't have to notice! I would become the first Invisible Mod! ... Oh wait, that was Haxaty on MIFF. O_o;;;

Obviously, posting members are (by and large) *whiners.* It isn't you guys at all. Heck, that's obviously why the members at all of the other forums are up in arms against their moderators througout LFN. Why, if it were just one group of mods having problems mainly in one forum, then I'd be tempted to believe that it was the fault of the moderators.

It's interesting how whenever the issue of moderation comes up, a bunch of people who usually hardly ever post here (I'm looking at you, edlib and Zoom) magically appear. I believe you both stated you wouldn't post here anymore too.. very interesting.

I haven't posted here in a while, but that doesn't mean I don't lurk here everyday, a couple of times a day,.. like I do in just about EVERY "off-topic" forum on the board. I post whenever I see someplace I can help by contributing; see a place to make some goofy, lame-ass joke; or when something attracts my attention... like this thread did.

(And, for the record,.. my above post was originally intended as one of those "lame-ass jokes" but I deliberately left off any smilies that might give that away in the spirit of being a wise-guy provocateur to see how many nerves it might strike.)

 

Again,.. until I'm told otherwise, I will contine to post whenever and whenever I see fit because, as far as I know, freedom of speech is still in effect at the Lucasforums network.

 

As far as showing up together: my experience is that you guys have all seemed to find your way into certain threads in other parts of the network around the same time before. I imagine the system is somewhat similar.
