Well, this has to be the millionth thread where I complained about not having a good comp. Biut this will be the last until next winter, because my Mom's Christams Bonus isn't enough. She wanted to pay off the credit card and have enough money left over to buy my computer parts, but because her company's sales dropped due to PKWare, she won't be able to. I have to wait until next Christams.

(btw, for those of you who don't know my Mom works for Winzip. PKWare is one of her competetors.)

I'll have to save up and buy the parts, one by one...:(

I am using winzip version 8 I believe, it is a free download from the web, is a paid for version better? I like winzip and am very happy using it, but like most programs due to the fact that my financial situation; is well no situation, I tend to need programs and applications to be free.

and yes I can relate to wanting a new computer. I was actaully in a computer store and saw KotoR on the shelf, and thought, well maybe I should actually owna Star Wars game; but the 1 gig mhz minimum requirement bleww that idea. my HAL9000 is not quite up to snuff anymore. which is a shame cause MYST has a new gae called Uru and I wont be able to play it either.

anyhow I did not know your mom worked for winzip, its good to see winzip has a postive hiring practice for women, native americans and eskimo's:)

.rar files compress a little better than .zip files.

Ditto.
