Argghh... a whole year? Why not like Christmastime?

Because :

In North America, May has been the traditional release date for Star Wars films since the first movie in 1977. The North American release dates for the previous films in the Star Wars saga are:

Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope - May 25, 1977

Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back - May 21, 1980

Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi - May 25, 1983

Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace - May 19, 1999

Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones - May 16, 2002

SW movies should be released in around Feb-March. That way, they can get tons of oscars which they deserve.

I don't wanna start a huge argument, but I'm not sure if Episode 3 is gonna deserve a lot of oscars...

Anyways, only one more year now :p

Yeah they announced it would be May 2005 a week after AOTC was out in theaters.

All I have to say is this: If Lucas F***s up this movie I will personally see to it he dies a slow and painful death!

Honestly I have very little hope in this movie. Why you ask? Look at how trilogies are doing these days. They focus more on visual effects and less on the storyline. The Matrix, for example, started out great and ended up garbage. Too much focus on visuals and less on the storyline. LOTR is no exception. Sure Peter Jackson had a great story to work with already, but he still managed to butcher it (I blame Liv Tyler)!

EP1 The Phantom Menace: Good

Ep2 Attack of the Clones: Bad

Ep3 Messa Jedi: Ugly
