Astrotoy7 Posted March 15, 2005 Share Posted March 15, 2005 I was interested to hear what plans others have for EpIII premiere day... 1. are you watching it on the first day(midnight session) ? 2. do you dress up ? 3. who do you plan to go with ? 4. how many times do you think you'll see it in the first week ? as for me, *yes, I am watching a midnite session. Still havent decided if Im going with teh national fanclub crowd. I'd actually prefer to go to one of those exclusive theatres where there's only 20 seats, they recline and they serve you champagne *no, I'll prolly just be wearing my ROTS tee *just takin my gf along this time. Wish I could ditch her too, gotta concentrate on the freakin movie, not have her groping me and tryin to hold my hand *Im actually taking a week off around this time, for various reasons. II, LotR TTT, LotR RotK, Matrix Reloaded, and Matrix Revolution. I almost always go with the same crew, me, my bro, our sister, our friend, his bro, and whoever our sister takes along with her. I will probably just wear a themed T-Shirt like you, I usually do. The amount of times I see it will depend on weither it's good or not. Jean shorts and a T-shirt, just like I always wear. 3. Not really sure who I will go with. Whoever wants to I guess. Possibly my mom and sister, and most likely a few friends. 4. Not sure how many times I will see it. However many times I get the chance, I guess. Most likely at least twice. My GF is willing to go to the premier with me, AND is willing for me to done the Darth Maul Costume, ONLY because she HAS known me prior to the disguise. So we will probably show up at the Chicago premier, and I will be there in my full Darth Maul disguise. Life is good yes. I WOULD show up with that costume, IF I was alone, but I HAVE to take SOME consideration for who I am with. At least she is cool about, now she is not TOTALLY decided as to wether SHE wants to wear a costume, but she DID say that "if your going to wear a costume, you HAVE to look EXACTLY like the character. Sivy Posted March 15, 2005 Share Posted March 15, 2005 i'm dragging the wife along to the first showing in my town. she's not a big star wars fan, but she's actually really excited about Ep III after seeing the trailer. people never dress up for premieres where i live. if you do you're likely to get some stick. i remember going to the matrix reloaded premiere and someone (who obviously didn't live here) came dressed in a full lengh leather jacket and sun glasses... people were pointing and laughing and throwing things at him all night. so no, i wont be dressing up.... in fact i'm going nakid. then a week later i'm going to visit my brother who's living in canada (working for EA games) and we're going to see it again then. i shall probably try to get a third viewing in before it stops playing. Oddly I could only get 2 other people who wanted to go and watch ep2. I think i may be going on my own to ep3, so i'll just wait a few days and go after the fuss dies down. I'm not really a fan of going to the cinema to watch a movie several times (usually wait till DVD and experience an overdosis). Nalukai Posted March 15, 2005 Share Posted March 15, 2005 either watching it opening night with 2 of my wonderful and beautiful friends emily n linda or driving 300 miles to watch it with my best friend that i have watched all of them opening night with. dunno if ill dress up or not... the chicks want me 2 ( i guess cuz my crusader robes wouldnt have any clothing underneath ^^) however my bro would probably smack me around. I am definitely taking my saber either way- the girls want to duel and so does my bud. I have a customized saber that is actually 2 that can connect togther as a a staff. (built for single, dual, and bostaff fighting which i am fluent in all 3) we may have to smuggle the sabers in because in attack of the clones there was a massive 20 man duel up front stage before movie when a kid broke his ankle before the movie began; they wheeled him out saber thrust into the air at the opening scroll and got a standing ovation by the entire theatre. so well have to see how many of a tightass the theatre has become due to that incident. I would probably watch it every night i was off work the first wekk however there are more important things to me like; rent,electricity,food,and other financial-crippling bills.
