El Sitherino Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Christopher Robin to be replaced by a gender-confused 6 year old girl. Yeah, this is probably one of their stupidest ideas yet. The kid-friendly cable network said they hope to attract an older audience by adding the unnamed tyke. And this kinda scares me.
Lady Jedi Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 How can they do that? It's Pooh Bear for goodness sakes! It's perfect just the way it is. Why do they feel the need to replace the girlish boy with a boyish girl? Riduculous. *goes to cry in corner*
Commander Obi-Wan Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 My my my...when will they ever learn?
Alkonium Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Good grief. Is nothing sacred anymore? Nope, and I for one, never cared about this anyway.
El Sitherino Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 Nope, and I for one, never cared about this anyway. Then why bother posting?
Alkonium Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Then why bother posting?I was trying to point out that ruining a childhood media icon isn't the end of the world.
Lady Jedi Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 No, it's merely the changing of something very classic that many of us just might still enjoy....And it's a stupid way to change it, anyway. Of course it's not the first time that they've screwed with Winnie the Pooh. Anybody see The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh? That show creeped out my little brothers. Understandably so, too.
Samuel Dravis Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Wow, that's messed up. I don't see how they're thinking it's going to attract anyone changing it that radically. It's fine the way it is. *goes to read the Book of Pooh* Yes, I do indeed have a big Pooh book. >.>
El Sitherino Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 I was trying to point out that ruining a childhood media icon isn't the end of the world. No one is saying it's the end of the world. We can show our disgust of the idea, without claiming it's the end of the world. It's the same as some jackass deciding to remake Star Wars, but replace Han with a gay effeminate Rodian. It's wrong, and will be addressed as such.
TiE23 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 3d versions of drawn cartoons never never never work. This is as bad at the "Extreme" Looney Toons
Jeff Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 What will they think of next? This is one of the worst ideas ever.
Boba Rhett Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 That's it. I quit the internet. *grabs hat and coat and walks out*

Well, you forget that we can simply choose not to watch. And besides, aren't we all a little old to be watching shows like this?

Darth Groovy Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Yeah well....it's Disney, what did you expect. Tune in next week for further episodes of "That's So Raven".
Mike Windu Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Well, you forget that we can simply choose not to watch. And besides, aren't we all a little old to be watching shows like this? Um, no? Just because you get older doesn't mean Winnie the Pooh gets any less awesome.
Darth333 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Another guy who thought he had a genius idea...Why do they have to change this classic? I think the idea is pretty bad
Renegade Angel Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 This is almost as bad as the time they tore down the biggest skating rink (and the only one) in my town. I hope the new show gets less hits. that'll teach em! *makes swift punches at the air*
CapNColostomy Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Well, you forget that we can simply choose not to watch. And besides, aren't we all a little old to be watching shows like this? No. I have kids, so I watch plenty of Pooh. I'd rather have Christopher Robin on the show any day over Chrissie the Dyke.
