stingerhs Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 ...apparently so. to be honest, i've never seen the show, but i figured this might get some interest from a couple of people *cough*RedHawke*cough*
Bob Lion54 Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Meh. I'm holding out for the Babylon 5 MMO. Seriously, everything seems to get an MMO lately. I really would not be suprised...
Darth_Terros Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 The Star Trek mmo does sound pretty interesting and seems like it could be a bit different from the rest of the Everquest clones
ET Warrior Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I LOVE Stargate...but an MMO.....this has amazing potential, but it's just as likely that they'll totally **** it up. Time shall tell...
Prime Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 omg.... kill me now....It's just a MMO. Relax...
RevanA4 Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I tend to stay way from mmos but this one sounds cool and I love stargate
Venom750 Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 stargate rules it will be intresting to see how it turns out
The Doctor Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 It's just a MMO. Relax... The show is bad enough. But an MMO? That's just rediculous.
lukeiamyourdad Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 I have watched the show and I do wonder how they're going to pull that off. It doesn't seem like a good show to base an MMO on...just my personnal feeling.
The Doctor Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 ^ Neither is Star Trek, really, but they pulled that off...
RedHawke Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I LOVE Stargate...but an MMO.....this has amazing potential, but it's just as likely that they'll totally **** it up. Time shall tell... Quoted for emphasis! Meh. I'm holding out for the Babylon 5 MMO. Bless you my son!
REDJOHNNYMIKE Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I heard they were making an SG-1 game, but I thought it was FPS, are they one in the same? Personally I think SG-1 falls more into FPS territory, if you're going to make an mmo you'd have to include all villains to fill it out.
Alkonium Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I know nothing of Stargate, but if the game is a Guild Wars clone, I might check it out.
Prime Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 The show is bad enough. Some would say the same about Doctor Who.
The Doctor Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 ^ But they're just blasphemous fools Star Trek has a mmo??? Yes, it does. It's not that great, but it is pretty cool. I don't have it mself, but I've played it at my girlfriend's house - her brother is a die-hard Trek fan, just like me.
Darth InSidious Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Doctor, every opinion is equally valid. In this case, some opinions are more equal than others. Yours on StarGate being in the less equal category On-topic: This sounds interesting. Hope to hear more before I have to make up my mind...
REDJOHNNYMIKE Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I will be the most legendary Ascended Jaffa ever and you may all consider yourselves owned:D I wonder if it's possible to get an all-Teyla party?
Darth InSidious Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I will be the most legendary Ascended Jaffa ever and you may all consider yourselves owned:D I wonder if it's possible to get an all-Teyla party? Before Ra you are but an ant. A termite. Abase yourself, you grovelling ins-- wait, wrong show So how long do you think it'll be until it's out? I'm gonna guess at about a year.
HerbieZ Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Yes i giggled like a little girl when the announcement was made... for 3 hours. I love Stargate, it's in my blood. Literally, i melted down some film and hypodermically injected it into me. Hallowed are the Ori.

Anyway, Hopefully this thing will be finishe SOOON. It may well become the first pay-for-play online game I've actually played.
HerbieZ Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 Alot of people disgree with pay to play but i use a simple rule. If you enjoy it, it's worth it.
lukeiamyourdad Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 True, though we could get lower fees, depending upon the market. Right now, they have virtual fixed prices, meaning it doesn't fluctuate correctly. So even though the MMO is getting more popular, the fee is staying the same. Which is weird...but I disgress, a lot of those pay-to-play games are worth every penny.
