Darth Groovy
Hot dogs. My dad was layed off work for seven years. We had a deep freeze that was big enough to hold an entire cow, however my dad would get this great deal on packaged hot dogs at the 7-11. He would line the deep freeze with hot dogs, and we ate hot dogs no less than three nights a week for years. Then one time I went to the Cornerstone festival in 1993, and we had hot dogs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for three days and three nights. I have not been able to force myself to eat another hot dog since. Tuna fish. It smells really BAD, and it tastes even worse, no matter what you do to it. Peas. Nastiest vegetable ever. You can burry one single pea at the bottom of a pot of beef stew, and you could STILL taste it. Frozen peas are even worse! YUCK!
Hermie
I have always hated fish, I think it has something to do that I've been pulling them wriggling up from the ocean, kill them and then drag their innards out ever since I was a little kid. toms
Peas are one of the few vegetables i'll eat... What i really hate is mayonaise.. its basically a way of making all sandwiches taste exactly the same by overpowering the taste of the contents... as well as doubling the unhealthiness. What is the point? And why can't you buy any darn sanwiches WITHOUT mayonaise????? grrr...
Nerd_Annhilator
Avocado - Generally terrible looking, texture is worse, and flavour is worst of all. My aunts veal - Drenched in olive oil and then fried. Meat + olive oil -properly cooked = gag. Hard boiled eggs - Smell awful, taste worse. Any Fish - Tastes terrible Sushi with fish in it - Gag. Grapefruit - Bitter, and sour at the same time. Gag. Wiener Shnitzel = GAG. Liver - Possibly the worst smelling food ever, smells so bad that I need to keep my door closed for the night when parents have made it. Smells so bad I'd never tried it. Peppers - Smell pretty good, but taste awful. Salad - Probably the only meal that leaves me wanting more food. Insufficient and tastes like... a pile of leaves Cabbage - Smells like fart, tastes like ****. Lamb chops - Where the hell did all the meat go? Lamb = 100% fat. Squishy unchewable fat. *sprays vomit* Broccoli - Terrible Pickled Eggplant - If you've ever successfully eaten this, I'm surprised you're still alive. Seafood drenched in olive oil - Gag aaannnnd for the last one.. Some cake - You know the cake with the fake frosting on it, no chocolate, and fruit on it? I hate that kind of cake. Terrible. I also hate it when there are nuts in brownies. People ruin perfect brownies but putting little chunks of bad tasting walnuts and crap in them. EDIT: Anything from Mcdonalds. El Sitherino
Mayonnaise is the foundation of a good sandwhich. It is, however, often abused. (I'm a huge fan of Miracle Whip) Me, I hate cabbage. It makes you gassy and smell bad, and it tastes like taint.
ET Warrior
I like almost everything, I'm very not picky. What I cannot stand though, is meatloaf. I keep trying to like it, but it's no good. I also don't care for peas or green beans, just not a big fan of the taste. other than those, I'll eat most everything.
Master_Ginn
Pees, Greenbeans, and most fish. I'm not a fan of olives either, they look so tasty but theys be gross.
TiE23
Fried eggs - Man, looks distusting, smell bad, must taste worse. Brocolli - Look ma! Little trees! "Spotted" Bananas -I nearly gag just eating a normal banana, spotted ones are no better. Salmon - It's like eating undercooked.. umm.. fish. Anything with peanut butter - Weird, cause I love peanuts... Tofu - Had it once at a friends house, never again. Has the consitency of coagulated chicken fat. Enchiladas - I hate the sauce. Eggrolls - Eww Lasagna - Like layers of pasta and poop. Diet coke - Why would anyone drink this stuff? It just tastes bad, who would buy drinks that taste bad? Tho only canned Diet Coke (not Pepsi) seems to taste bad, fountain drinks aren't bad. Champange - 2 words... Goat Piss... is how my dad and I described it when we were at a wedding in England (sweet castle) Sparkling water - At the same wedding, what sucked was that I was really thirsty and couldn't move for an hour, so I was stuck with this crap. Tasted like diet coke with no coke flavor (that bitter-assed taste) Sausage/Hot dogs with skin - Dear lord, in California we went to Cupid's for the first time, I was excited being told their hotdogs ruled, just to bite and instead of mushy goodness, a loud snap and crunch. Like eating meat wrapped in plastic. (Tommy's is better, ooh... that Chili!)
Nalukai
Being a Chef I cannot say I dislike any type of food(unless ive tasted it to check for freshness and it was out of date...yuck); I did have some when I was younger but getting older your taste buds naturally adjust. Anthony you stated that fish tasted horrible- you must not be preparing it right or adding the right spice to accomodate the texture of it. try adding a little flare to some sometime... red meated fish try cajun spice(or paprika salt and black pepper instead) and white fish use a citrus spice(lemon pepper or citrus grill) or even use lemon juice if you dont have anythig else. Sushi with fish in it.... lol? well that kinda defeats the purpose now doesnt it? 'Bout the only one you're gonna get in that category is a California Roll (nub sushi), and that is imitation crab... ie artificially flavored cooked fish. but you wouldnt like that anyways since avacodo is also in there I dont know where you got those lamb chops... but Lamb is one of the leanest Game meats around.. try a Rack of Lamb next time instead of the chops, grocery stores tend to not fully clean the fat and ligament off the bone end. Jeff
I like most foods, though I do not like cauliflower, and while I like most vegetables, I hate grilled vegetables. The taste seems to completely change to me. I also like raisins, but I don't like raisin cookies or anything with baked raisins, they just don't taste the same. Katarn07
Fish. As said, it smells and tastes like sewage or something. Stir Fry. Most things Asian. Eww. Egg Rolls kick ass though. So do fortune cookies. I don't like the clumpiness of the rice, the taste of the soy sauce, or the tainted veggies I liked before they ruined it by frying it. I like a lot of veggies, I hate a lot of veggies. Brocolli and green beans are the 'gross' ones I love. Spinach is alright in breakfast dishes or deep dish pizza. Plain? I feed it to my dragons. Lettuce is overrated, especially when it comes off the head instead of those bags. Those too go to my dragons. I hate asparagus and brussel sprouts. I used to like red cabbage, but hate all forms of that now too.
Samuel Dravis
Salmon - It's like eating undercooked.. umm.. fish.Nonsense. All fish is good! Tofu - Had it once at a friends house, never again. Has the consitency of coagulated chicken fat.Tofu by itself is absolutely terrible. It can be pretty good as an ingredient though. Sparkling water - At the same wedding, what sucked was that I was really thirsty and couldn't move for an hour, so I was stuck with this crap. Tasted like diet coke with no coke flavor (that bitter-assed taste)Are you kidding? The cheap stuff at the stores in the US is bad except for using in mixes, but get some in Europe and it tastes better. They love that stuff there. As a general rule I will try everything and eat most anything (veggies too! O.o), but some middle eastern/indian/etc cuisine is either too strongly spiced or just so strange tasting I don't enjoy it much. That is all. Commander Obi-Wan
Liver, Seafood, Fish (except Cod), Squash, Brussel Sprouts, Cabbage, Tomatoes, Guacamole/avacodos = Gag. They love that stuff there. Fun England story! I was in England over winter break, and I asked for water at some sandwhich shop in london, and I got "fizzy water". Entirely too carbonated, and tasted like alka setzler, which I hate. So for the rest of my English adventure, I would ask for "regular water" and the person would always say "Tap?" in a sort of disgusted voice. Bob Lion54
Vinegar It has to be the most horrible smell ever. Why anyone ever thought to use it on food is beyond me. Horseradish Nasty stuff. Here in Louisiana, alot of people make a horseradish/ketchup dip for their crawfish. The smell is horrid.
IG-64
I'm a fairly picky eater. I hate tomatoes, they're fleshy, bitter, and slimy all at the same time, and it's not a good combination. Though I do like ketchup. Sweet or bread and butter pickels. Vegitables shouldn't be that sweet. Dill pickels are 1337 though. Onions, they're ok when they're fried, but otherwise they'll ruin anything you put them in to. And besides, what isn't ok when it's fried? Tuna fish, i've seen this pop up a few times in this thread, so it should go without description, it's just nasty. Potato salad/chicken salad/develled eggs/cole slaw: someone had fun with a blender one time and now I have to suffer for it. Anything from Wendy's, because Wendy's fails at making food. Pudding skin![/Ed] Some people like it, I just think it ruins good pudding. Guacamole/avacodos, tried it once, gagged, never tried it again. Various meats that "taste like chicken", why don't you just eat chicken? And last but not least... Whatever that pinkish thing is Subway sometimes leaves in my sandwhich. One usually accidentally(?) finds it's way into my sandwhich, and it only takes one. And when it happens, it makes it hard to finish the sandwhich, even when I take it out because the flavor bleeds through to the rest of the sandwhich. It's one of the most disgusting tastes i've ever experienced. The first time it happend, I gagged so much it went up my nose. It only happens every once in awhile but when it does my trust in Subway diminishes. When I described it, my family identified it as a red onion. I can't imagine why anyone will actually fill their sandwhich with these things. There are some sick people in this world.
Mike Windu
I'm not a fan of cauliflower, just don't like the look of it. Broccoli is way good, so is spinach (mom makes it) white rice, beef, stir fry shrimp, all good stuff mang, all good. Um... other than that I don't touch tofu by itself, I'm semi allergic to apples (weird but I like apples so I eat them whenever possible) I hate gravy skins, and skin on anything liquid in general. I don't like tuna or most fish, but I do like catfish. Never tried salmon. That's about it... I think... I'm a beef and shrimp man.
RoxStar
Diet coke - Why would anyone drink this stuff? It just tastes bad, who would buy drinks that taste bad? Tho only canned Diet Coke (not Pepsi) seems to taste bad, fountain drinks aren't bad. Lets take this apart, Coke has an average of 25 grams of sugar per serving (about an 8 ounce can we're talking). I have diabetes, so sugary foods of any kind (especially drinks) are a big nono and are only used in absolute low blood sugar emergencies. It only tastes "bad" because you drink all kinds of sugar **** all the time. I used to think it tasted outright vile, but since i've been drinking only diet things since may of last year, I've grown accustomed to the taste. When I went to see Serenity, I made my friend take a sip of my Diet Coke to make sure it was Diet, because I honestly couldn't tell the difference. Plus, Diet Coke with Splenda owns. IG-64
There is a common misconception with fish. The only reason fish smells and tastes bad is because the flesh is rotting. Good fish is fresh fish. Very, very fresh fish. So make sure when you fancy fish, find fresh fish flesh.

Nalukai
There is a common misconception with fish. The only reason fish smells and tastes bad is because the flesh is rotting. Good fish is fresh fish. Very, very fresh fish. So make sure when you fancy fish, find fresh fish flesh. This is true... any type of fish has to be held at 40 degrees or less for a period no longer than 3 days. It is even better if it is properly iced down prior to use.. after 40 degrees bacteria begins to grow ( any foods esp. meats in between 40-130 degrees[130 is considered rare]) or it begins to break down the enzymes, hence the sliminess of it. It must also be cooked to an internal temperature of no less than 160 degrees( unless it is salmon, tuna, or anything that is marked as "sushi grade") other wise it will have that jelly feeling instead of being firm to touch- even tho some fish are "flaky", the firmness of it before you fork into it determines the freshness and whether or not it was properly prepared) Actually that really goes with any type of shellfish or seafood, and chances are if it does begin to smell it just needs a good water bath to get rid of it, that smell is no more than the juices extracted from the meat itself and that will tarnish no matter what temperature it is held at. A general rule of thumb with seafood is if it becomes a lighter color(resting in water) or darker ( not being iced properly or not under 40 degrees) than it was initially and still has a smell after it is rinsed really well, then it is bad and not fit for even a pet to eat.
