Jae Onasi
Probably not, but I imagine Jae explains why she says she's 29 if people ask. Because, as Mary Kay Ash once said, "A woman who will tell her age will tell anything." @Qliveur--you know, I never thought of it that way, but I think you may very well be right. I think they 'pupate' during highschool and emerge during the college years. My redhead sister went from this very awkward teenager to a gorgeous young woman, except she doesn't think she's pretty, which is too bad, because she really is a beautiful person. Of course, I might be biased, but I'm also right in this case.

HerbieZ
I really do think my whole perspective on redheads changed with that dream i had the other night. They are pretty hot. In more ways than one.

And I'm definitely not a member of the 'hairy chest' club, what with being female and all.
mjpb3
People pay good money to achieve the color that the Good Lord blessed me with. The association with Irish is fun, though I only have a wee bit in me. I play it up on St. Patrick's Day. Scottish/Irish/German/Dutch/Choctaw Indian ancestory here. Where the Choctaw Indian came from - I don't know... *shrug* I have dark auburn - almost a brownish red color myself. EVERYONE wants my hair color, but it's mine! All mine! Ahahahaha! *Cue evil Malak laugh * Worst--Sunburns! Redheads tend to have very fair skin and I'm no exception. Second degree sunburns are brutally painful. Now I just stay out of the sun for the most part, which means I never tan well, but it also means I won't look like a prune when I'm 85, either. I am so fair, I am almost ghostlike. What number sunblock do you have to use? If there was a sunblock 1000, I'd have to use that. Rumors--we have fiery tempers. Even if we don't, we cultivate the image. It comes in handy if someone makes the mistake of making some stupid Bozo joke. Well I do have a fiery redhead temper. Ask my hubby. He's been on the receiving end of my temper quite a few times. But everyone who knows me knows that my temper is mostly all bark and no bite --- unless I am pushed too far, then hell hath no fury like me 100% p*ssed off. Q
Come to think of it, I think everyone goes through a "pupate stage" in their adolescence. The change just seems to be more extreme when it comes to redheads, IMHO. I also have an extremely fair complexion, but dark blonde hair. As far as sunlight goes I am Vampyre, Nosferatu! I have a temper that is best described as a cross between a volcanic eruption with a slow buildup and a multi-megaton delayed-action thermonuclear device. I've struggled all of my life to keep it under control (people tend to take advantage of it). My ancestry is Scots-Irish on my dad's side and German on my mom's, if you're wondering-lots of temper from both sides (along with a strange desire to conquer the world). HerbieZ
You're just now learning this? Im a 19 year old teenage geek who practically lives on his computer in his bedroom, im unsociable and have never had a relationship. Go figure
Feagildin
And I'm definitely not a member of the 'hairy chest' club, what with being female and all. LOL That's good, Jae. That's good. I'm sure your husband is rather satisfied with that arrangement. My ancestry is Scots-Irish on my dad's side and German on my mom's, if you're wondering-lots of temper from both sides (along with a strange desire to conquer the world). I have the same ancestry, only with a little bit of French added in, and yes, a very peculiar desire, to conquer the world. And the temper too. Mine's light auburn, near the color Nicole Kidman has generally when she doesn't dye it blond. No, I'm nowhere near as sexy as she is (though Jimbo may put up an argument on that), and I'm fine with that. It takes awhile for me to get fully fired up in the temper department (except in situations that might affect kids, especially mine, and then it's rapid), but once I am, watch out, because I give no quarter and I don't stop until I'm satisfied. I'm very fair. I use the baby 50 (bazillion) sunblock. I try to remember to wear a hat but that's infrequent unless I know for sure I'll be outside awhile. @HerbieZ--real females, confusing as males think we are, are much better than the pixel version. @Fe--he says he's satisfied. Jae Onasi
Now, don't even get me started on how fortunate we brown-haired people are... That's cause it'd be a very short list. I'd like to point out that numerous dictators just in the past century have been brunettes. Ewan McGregor falls into the Redhead category (at least according to one Redhead site). I can buy the strawberry blond thing. There are a lot more hawt female redheads than male redheads. We girls are missing out on quantity (but not quality, of course).
