CSI
Sometimes I drink, but I never over-drink it...I mean, I'm never drunk before...Good. If you count computer software, then I drink a lot...use Al. 120.
St. Jimmy
HerbieZ, that was.. disgusting *coughsuckstobeyoucough* I rarely drink. Only the occansional wine with dinner. I can't see anything wrong with soft drink (soda for you yanks ) and if there's a choice between Soft drink and alchohol I'll take soft drink. There's no reason you can't have that just because there's alchohol on offer.

RedHawke
Lets see, I drank a ton back in High School, I got alcohol poisoning... a whole bunch of times back then. From this I learned that I really don't like being drunk. Nowadays I limit myself to one drink max, if any, like a glass of wine or mead with dinner. Even that is only on special occasions. Youngling drinking safety tip: If you are going to get blitzed please, please for the love of all that is holy, don't eat birthday cake with any sort of brightly colored icing on it beforehand! Lynk Former
I used to drink when I was a teen, I don't anymore... commonsense has taught me that you don't have to drink to have fun. When all of my friends are pissed off their rocker, I'm not but I can still go along with it, the next day when they're all hung over and near death (virtually)... I'm not. In the end, I haven't gone through all the bad stuff and I have more money to spend than they do

Vaelastraz
Drinking is fun! Due to my very low weight, I don't need that much alcohol to get absolutely plastered. If I'm being honest there are several positive effects of getting drunk. Everything is more fun, you are not worried about anything, you do a lot of funny ****, you got the courage for everything. Unfortunately I really hate my condition after being drunk...usually I'm sick for like 2 days. And that just sucks. Therefore, I just get slightly drunk now (without vomiting) and watch the others get totally plastered, that is almost as fun.

The new bed spread influenced me to decorate my room. Cool. I could do with a new room design. I don't know exactly how it turned out but.. I don't think I would consider it worth it. Eewww.. I mean, you're STILL finding the remains.. yuck. Ah well, if you had a good time and consider it worth the while that's all that matters I 'spose.. Mav
I've never gotten drunk, I don't drink/smoke at all, never found the need. Though I must admit, messing with friends who do get drunk, is the best perk of being the DD, the "anti-perk" your friends throw up in your car... Darth InSidious
Worst I think was the old "You...I know you..." to my brother. Either that or going round insulting everyone at the party I was at. I wasn't totally ****faced, I'd just had a pretty crap day leading up to said party. Ztalker
@Ztalker--I bet you're a mess today, man. You bet! Although I wasn't completely 'out' yesterday, my movement wasn't...refined. I remember cycling home, almost ending up in the canal left of the road. I just blame 'The Three Sisters' the most awesome bar of the northern hemosphere for it. Half a litre of beer only costed 2 Euro's The total amount of beer passing through my throat was aproxamitely 3 litres. To conclude: Yes, I am a total mess @Topic: Here in Holland, you may drink low-percentage alcohol (alike beer) from the age of 16. Of you'd like to have 'heavy stuff' you need to be 18 years, os sometimes even 21 years or older. I'm 17 now, and now have 2 years of 'drinking' experience. Other then the time at the picture (does it even work?) I haven't been drunk. So I think the Dutch system regarding alcohol works pretty good. So..what do you think about the age limits on alcoholic drinks? Is the system of the United States better?
stoffe
You bet! Although I wasn't completely 'out' yesterday, my movement wasn't...refined. I remember cycling home, almost ending up in the canal left of the road. Well, be careful with that. I superficially knew a guy a few years ago who, when out partying got a little too much to drink and decided to take a swim in the canal next to the bar they visited, and his friends were too drunk themselves to stop him. His body was never found. A real shame to die that young for such stupid reasons. Here in Holland, you may drink low-percentage alcohol (alike beer) from the age of 16. Of you'd like to have 'heavy stuff' you need to be 18 years, os sometimes even 21 years or older. (snip) So..what do you think about the age limits on alcoholic drinks? Is the system of the United States better? It's 18 to get served alcohol at restaurants and 20 to buy it in shops here. The idea behind it is good, to prevent people getting hooked on it early. Unfortunately it doesn't work in practice, kids manage to get hold of alcoholic beverages just fine anyway through illegal means instead. It's more rule than exception that people as young as 13-14 get senselessly drunk during the weekends while out partying. Judging by that a large percentage of the population should end up with alcoholism, but fortunately most people tend to get wiser as they get older and get more controlled in their drinking, at least in my (fairly limited) experience. St. Jimmy
The limit is 18 here too. Thank goodness for that! Kids still get around drinking under-age, but the age law heavily reduces under-age drinking. Which in turn has saved heaps of lives if you ask me. RC-1162
i prefer the 18 yr old age limit on drinking and smoking, thank you very much, or we'd have a lot more ragging in college concerning that.

The Doctor
I'm 16, so I haven't had an opportunity to drink, really - sure, I've had the odd beer with my Dad, but I'm not a big fan of beer. I'm not a big fan of alcohol period, really... it just doesn't do anything for me, other than alter my judgment. I don't really enjoy it.
The_Catto
I love my alcohol, but i hate the hangovers ... Alcohol gets the worst rep lol, it dosent cause hangovers. Waking up the next day, causes the Hangover, lol. Duh! haha ... anyway .. yeah, i really prefer Drinking than Smoking. Not a big fan at all of smoking. My worst (and it also happens to be my best ... talk about an oxymoron lol) alcohol experience, was when i got very very Intoxicated, and i was incapable to walk, so i had to hold onto one of my mates, to hold me straight lol. And on the way home, my mate let go of me, and i fell sideways, and suddenly i heard this huge bang, and i was looking aorund to see what it was. And it was only 'then' did i realise i was on my back, and my head was hurting considerably. Apparently i banged my head on the fence. I then looked up and my mates were gone. I had no idea where they were, and i had no idea where i was. i started to panic and yell at the top of my voice, and then i heard replies, and it was one of the Girls who accompanied us. She grabbed my arm and we stumbled to a park, and we sat down on the bench. She was nearly as bad as i was, but she could still walk a little better than what i could.but anyway ... the next thing i remebered was waking up the next morning in the bright sunlight at the park, laying in the slipery dip, cuddling the girl who i was with. Nothing happened which was good, because she could still remembered what happened before we got on the slide and fell asleep. But then the pain started to hit me, my head was pounding, and stomache was whithering, as if it had worms going around inside it (Disgusting, but true lol) and we still had no idea where we were, so we called up my mate to come and get us. Luckily for us, he knew where we were, so he got us. So, as i said ... Its not the Alcohol, its the waking up that causes the hangovers lol. And that night was very good, because, ever since then ... the girl i was with ... well, im in a lovely and strong relationship with her to this day. She is the greatest, the best thing thats ever happened to me. But my head still hurt for a week after that, and i had to get 4 stitches, becuase i split it open against the fence. lol
Lynk Former
Yeah, alcohol related battle scares, you've saved the planet, congratulations XD I have a niece, she's my cousins daughter, she's 14 and is 7 years younger than me, she's like a little sister to me and she considers me as an older brother. Anywayz, she's telling me how she's gotten drunk, smoked and s*** like that. I told her straight up that she's a f***ing idiot and stupid b***. I've never lied to her and I've never sugar coated anything when it came to this sorta thing. I told her straight up what path she was going down and of course if she didn't fess up to her mother about what she was doing that eventually I would. She is one dumb, stupid, clueless... well you get the idea... and it really pisses me off when she thinks she can get away with this sort of thing... There was a time when my friends were all into drinking, this was around 16 onwards and they tried to get me into it through peer pressure, they almost did hook me too. That coupled with the fact that my family were full of heavy drinkers didn't help. But the thing is that I'm not blind to the effects, I watch the people around me very clearly and I weighed the advantages and disadvantages very carefully. To add to this, there was a girl in my life way back in the past who was very dear to me who was REALLY bad with alcohol, I mean she wasn't an alcoholic or anything, she was just one of those people who got drunk VERY easily. Anyway, she had family troubles and this really depressed her, this factor also stopped me from drinking. If I drank, she would too, and I wasn't gonna let that happen, you don't let a person like that drink no matter what. Bleah, well on a plus note, I am still a very fun person, I've gone out with friends and have never drunk a drop of alcohol while they have. None of them noticed, I was able to fit and have fun either way. The best thing about it is that I'm able to stop myself from doing anything too stupid, doesn't stop them though and they don't care by that point... REDJOHNNYMIKE
Yeah, definitely some downsides.... Meatstravaganza cookout last night, my friend Jimmy was probably only on about his 6th drink, but I was just standing there talking about random stuff with everybody and he walks up and just starts feeling my arm, definitely the low point of the night:xp: I don't drink, but lots of other people do. Watching people drink makes me thirsty though, so by the time everybody was starting to have trouble with stairs I'd almost singlehandedly finished a 12 pack of Mountain Dew, this creates a nice contrast resulting in more interesting conversations regarding RenandStimpy and other wierd cartoons (what the heck is a Zim anyway???) Little advice: Balls whips peer pressure any day of the week (even during happy hour) @ED, Actually, I'm pretty sure I've heard that drinking a little wine now and then is actually very healthy and can prolong life. Supposedly france has a better health somethin' or other because of it. Not sure were I heard about the research.
Lynk Former
lol @ wine. I never got into wine, and I don't really care what it can do for me XD To be honest, I'd rather my life be as short as possible lol.
The_Catto
It's true with wine (i think) ... Im pretty sure its good to have at least a glass of Red Wine either once a day, or once a week. Keeps you healthy or something

SpaceAlex
I was drunk only once... and that was when i was 5 years old. . You see, i was too young to know what alcohol can do to you, or even what alcohol is. I The story goes like this: my father put a beer into a cold water and left me alone with it. That's when i got the opportunity to "taste" the forbidden. Ofcourse i did not only "taste" it, but drank the whole bottle (0,5dl), because it tasted good to me. 0.5dl doesn't seem like much, but it's A LOT for a 5 year old. Anyway, the alcohol didn't make me very happy, but very angry. I got angry with anyone that merely looked at me and said some things that i don't remember anymore today (i know they weren't pretty words though). After an hour or so i fell asleep on the floor. After that experiance, i never touched alcohol again, and probably never will.
