RoxStar Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 There's a large winter storm sweeping cross country (US). The snow just gave me a three day weekend from school! ^_^. Anyone else lucky?
jebbers Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 i got a four day weekend off from work. high winds and lots of snow. means i have some time to play games. and do nothing.
Samnmax221 Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Unfortunately we only got an inch by this morning, of course its supposed to snow all day.
MrWally Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 We only have 4 or 5 inches here, but it's covering a thick sheet of ice, so the buses couldn't go anywhere.
BongoBob Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 You lucky bastages Wally and Roxstar. You have no idea how badly I wanna stay home and not go to my classes today. Especially Spanish III (where I barely know spanish 1).
RoxStar Posted December 1, 2006 Author Posted December 1, 2006 If only you did not live in a desert climate
MrWally Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 I know your pain, Bongo. I was deprived of snow when I was a child, living in the tropics and all I still remember the first time I saw snow
TiE23 Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Seattle got it first. I got 2 days off, but it was Tuesday and Wednesday, still kick-ass, though. I know your pain, Bongo. I was deprived of snow when I was a child, living in the tropics and all I still remember the first time I saw snow I used to live in the California desert and we got like 5 inches of snow once in like '96. Probably blame El Nino for that.
MrWally Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 When Mount Pinatubo erupted there was so much ash our entire neighborhood was covered inches deep in it. My sister thought it was snow ^_^ Just to give you guys a good idea of just how much ash there was....
Jeff Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 No. There was a chance we would get snow but it didn't happen, it just rained a lot. All the trees had ice on them.
MrWally Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 No. There was a chance we would get snow but it didn't happen, it just rained a lot. All the trees had ice on them. Which part of Michigan do you live in? The UP? Because I don't think the storm is reaching up there.
ET Warrior Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 We got about a foot and a half of snow here...though it's up to the professors whether or not they cancel class... 'Course, my schedule as-is I have 4 day weekends every week
MTV2 Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 i had a Pro-D-Day today...so no school, but not because of a snowstorm.
DarthAve Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 No school off for us. But i'm happy about that! A. I found out I'm in the geography bee today. B. We sang Mary, Mary in choir C. I wrote a killer screenplay today in Language Arts D. I had delishious fries at lunch! E. Hot gym guy was there, and he makes everyday good.
Jae Onasi Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 It was a snow day for the Jimbo/Jae household--too dangerous to even drive anywhere in the middle of blizzard conditions, though it's now finally calming down.
Commander Obi-Wan Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 We got about 2-4 feet of snow this past week, at least and school still had no chance of being cancelled. And it was -42 F/-41 C last week and we still had to go to school. That's for living in Edmonton, Canada. >_>
Samnmax221 Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 I miss three years ago, was that Febuary so cold we only went to School on the Wednesday of a 5 day week.
Jeff Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Which part of Michigan do you live in? The UP? Because I don't think the storm is reaching up there. No, Southeast, like just north of Detroit.
IG-64 Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 Since I live in Houston, and am in college, even if we got any snow (highly unlikely), it would only be a tiny amount, so I would still have to go.
Tyrion Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Stupid California stupid no snow stupid warm year round temperature stupid rain stupid argh.
MrWally Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 I plan on moving to cali. Both my brothers live there atm.
