One question: does any or all of the Transformers have the G1 transformation sound, like Prime does in the second trailer?

I don't know why, but that is such a big thing for me...

Ya they all make the noise when they transform.

I saw it last night and it was just awesome. I'm easily going to see this movie two more times this week. I'd have to say it's now after the Star Wars Trilogy as my favourite movies of all time.

Don't worry Prime, it's the transformation sound is there just like it was there in the first episode of the original series, perfectly done too and whenever you hear it it brings a tear to your eye XD

I saw it for free :) (Friend organised a party thingy at one of those luxury theater private sessions)

The dips and bread served were the highlight for me... I was suprised to see no evil Nazis in there, since Spielberg had his mangy claw involved in this flick...

But Ive never been a Hollywood fan, apart from what GL does...(who is actually pretty anti-Hollywood if you think about how he's made and financed his films)

so, bring on Indy 4...my next visit to the cineplex. In the meantime, I'll stick with the freaks and art students at the arthouse/foreign film theaters :D

I saw it yesterday at 12:30. Never really been a transformers fan or really into transformers (only transformers I've watched was the beast wars transformers series a few years ago and i really liked that) , but the movie was awesome. Very glad I got to see it at the theatre. The movie is pretty Non-stop action all the way through, and that's how i like my movies. I didn't watch much after the credits so i guess i'll see that when it comes out on dvd.

next movie i cannot wait to see is The Bourne Ultimatum.

also the preview to that ping pong movie had me lmao

Hey Prime, when Optimus transforms completely onscreen for the first time, I promise you you'll cry.
Hehe, maybe. I think people that were not male 80's children don't quite understand what a phenomenon Transformers was back then...

I saw it Monday night at the 8:15 showing. It was highly enjoyable and I wasn't let down.

When you said stay for the credits, I didn't know if you meant what played right away during the credits or if there was something after them all so I wasted my time sitting through all the credits to find nothing. xD

^^^

I say GREAT GOOGULLEY MOOGULLEY! :D Damn that Megan Fox is hawt! Brunette with blue eyes and a dusting of freckles. They get me every time. :brow: But I digress...

I'll have to see this movie a second time before formulating my final opinion. There was just too much action for me to properly digest in one viewing. ;)

I thought the movie was great. a good balance between humor and action, showing how it could have a serious tone while making it kid-friendly.

I also loved all the voices, especially Barricade's. He spoke his lines with such authority. There were two things i wish the movie had more of. first it would be more english dialogue and personality for the decepticons. what they had was good, however. Starscream and Megatron's bickering was funny , although i wouldn't have mind seeing Megatron insult Starscream more, since it only hinted at Starscream's shadyness.

second would be more starscream in general, especialy since he and most of the decepticons come in the final act, and most of his scenes were already shown in the trailer. although it was funny seeing him flee at the end, so if there's a sequel, he'll prolly return as the self-appointed leader of the decepticons.

Now that I've seen the movie, I want to get a nice wallpaper image from the movie of Optimus. The only ones (the standing in front holding a big gun and that darkened one ) are all I can find. And not the one with bonecrusher and optimus fighting. Some help, anyone?

Optimus Prime's voice was the best. Barricade? Hell no. Peter Cullen you can tell has been waiting almost 20 years so that he can voice Optimus Prime. And now that I heard him in that movie, I can't think of anyone else who could play that. Hugo Weaving's voice was altered a lot so you didn't feel like you were listening to V or Agent Smith, which helped a lot.

I saw most of it Thursday, and what I saw was pretty awesome. The only Transformers I was really into was Beast Wars, so no "raping" of my childhood. I plan to see it again this weekend so I can see the rest of it.

I also liked Barricade's voice. His lines were awesome.

Megatron reminds me a lot of the Power Rangers Movie villain.

If they make a sequel, I'll probably go and see it.

S*** was bananas, I loved every second of it.

Only thing I didn't like was:

when they killed Jazz. He didn't even have that much action :

But other than that, an excellent, excellent movie.

Also, did anyone else see the preview where it started out with a guys going away party, and turned into a horror movie? Didn't catch the name of it, all I saw was the date. Looked damn intruiging. Or however the hell you spell that word.

@BongoBob - edit your spoiler tag

I just came back from seeing it as well.

I loved it. I never watched the Transformers and wasn't really into to it. So, I didn't really know what to expect. But, I enjoyed every second of it as well. I'd have to put in my top 3 favourite movies this year with Live Free or Die Hard and Hot Fuzz. I'll definitely have to see it a second time to catch anything I missed.

Oh, yeah, Megan Fox is pretty damn hawt.

You mean no one here was put off by her fake tan?...

Yeah...that's what I was looking at...her skin tone. :eyeraise::p Any red blooded heterosexual guy who says Megan Fox isn't hot needs to check their pulse.

I feel this is appropriate.

That so wins.

And yes, I thought it was freakin' sweet. Gonna be one of those summer movies that probably loses a bit of awesomeness as time goes by, but really good ATM
