come to think about it....10 years ago...I first used the internets, at uni. I quite instantly realised, and fully utilised the amazing potential of this technology for spreading pornography knowledge :D

Eleven years ago I left the army.

ah, and thus, in one swift spill of words, the craziness is instantly explained away...... :D

I hate this thread.

I'm with you, man. After reading through it I am now officially depressed. :(

I hate this thread.

I agree.

I hate reminiscing about the past. The question that I hate asking myself is:

"what if I had done this" or "what if I had done that".

Just my two cents.

Just convince yourself that all those other decisions would have ended up with you being splattered by a bus or somesuch. Maybe that'll lighten your mood somewhat. ;)

I don't mind reminiscing - it just brings back fond memories for me. There will always be those things that I think "what if I had done this instead", but those are far outweighed by good memories.

I love this thread :D

bah...I think its ridiculous that people in their 30s, 20s or less are sittin' around talking about "the old days"....ridiculous I say! Quiet often the old days only seem better because our ability to perceive the depravity of the world was blunted back then.

still, as long as the world still has pizza, art, buxom women and joga bonito, I'll be fine ;)

That would be a good guess. I don't know. I feel like I've lost 10 years somehow. I have a degree that I no longer have a use for. Of course, it was a conscious decision on my part to leave teaching. It just seems like I've lost my way.

The knowledge and experience is never wasted. You'll use those skills in whatever job you end up in.

18 years ago today Jimbo and I got married, and I graduated college the next day. Sometimes it's been rough but it's been the best 18 years of my life. :)

well said Jae. Even if you never work in area using a degree or qualification you have, the very fact that you can apply yourself to complete a degree or qualification is evidence enough to an employer that you will be an asset to them >>regardless of what field you chose to work in. Better that than try get a job when all you have to show is that youve dropped out of several courses and jobs.

10 years ago I was still playing PS2.

Unless you were working for Sony at the time, that would be a false statement. Its development wasn't announced until March 1999. :xp:

Ten years ago, I decided to get a useless MA and PhD to build on a useless BA. >.<

You really want to talk about wasted time?

You have a PhD in something useless? You could always become a college professor. What are your degrees in?
