Arcesious
Well, as brought up by Jmac in my blogs, whom says youtube is bad... This is something I find debatable... Who else shares this veiw? Who disagrees with this veiw? Why? I can understand myspace being crap, but... Youtube? So what exactly is the good and the bad about Youtube? I, for one, enjoy it, being able to use it as a source of education and entertainment. IMHO, Youtube isn't that bad. There's a goodly portioned amount of people who actually make good videos. I've learned much in the realms of science from watching the videos of those who take the time to educate others. I also enjoy all the comedy and music. Sure, there's tons of crap on it, but there are a lot of videos that are worth watching. What about you? What's your veiw on this popular website? EnderWiggin
Ah, okay then. Sorry for ruining the joke you made there... I don't usually say things like that in a mean way if the person is on my friends list As well as entertaining, YouTube can be pretty useful. And yes, MySpace is crap. Myspace is crap. Facebook is actually worse. Youtube used to be great, but has degraded to an extent. Still a good place to find videos. _EW_

Tyrion
The only thing that's worrying about Youtube is that it's getting easier than ever to be embarrassed on a national scale. Arcesious
i said the people who use it suck. the concept of being able to find videos of almost anything does not. Well, certainly I'm not one of those who is an idiot. (Please Pardon the boast of saying so about myself.) Do all people who use it 'suck'? A lot of people on it are complete idiots, I agree; but the people on it who aren't total morons shouldn't be thrown in the mix with them... Saying so is using the Association Fallacy. I honestly think that it's worth it for there to be idiots on youtube, if it means that at least 'some' people can actually post something useful/entertaining on it. (Edit: As long as the idiots don't flag it for it conflicting with their veiws... Mean comments and low ratings can be ignored and tolerated. Inapropriately flagging something is annoying. There should be a rule that if a staff member finds you inappropriately flagging soemthing, you can get a warning/get banned.) The only thing that's worrying about Youtube is that it's getting easier than ever to be embarrassed on a national scale. Jae Onasi
Arcesious--go make your own fun, and it doesn't have to cost a dime. If you wait until you 'have enough money for x gadget' you'll never be happy. You'll quickly discover that things don't make you happy. It's the great people around you and the activities you enjoy that make life fun. Life is also way, way too short to delay enjoying it. Suck the marrow out of life. mimartin
Lol, indeed... But I thought this thread was about youtube... Well youtube can suck the marrow out of life too. I enjoy youtube, although I only watch what I want and ignore the rest. My only gripe is the comment section and why certain words are allowed even for a Disney video. Arcesious
I kind of like how the first amendment isn't restricted on youtube. (Besides when people flag videos due to conflicting beleifs) But it's much funnier, IMO, when words aren't censored in comedic videos...
Darth_Yuthura
I'm for Youtube because it allows for almost anything and everything that people would want to see that's not on TV or really anything. If it's good, people will watch. If not... it'll clutter things, but be manageble.

(Besides when people flag videos due to conflicting beleifs)I am all for The First Amendment, but the use of a vulgar word for procreation in the remakes for the video “When I Wish Upon a Star” is a little inappropriate. IMO. However, if it is a Richard Pryor, George Carlin or Eddie Murphy video then the use of such language is more appropriate.
