Astrotoy7
George Lucas has done nothing but break my heart since 1997. aww....did George rape your childhood? * * * I don't get people making such strong statements against GL. Sure, you may not have liked the PT etc, but it doesnt mean you should trash GL. @anyone... does it make you feel stronger, or more a man/woman to criticise GL on an internet forum? Go off, revolutionise film-making, then comeback and whine like a livejournal assclown. GL has provided millions with positive experiences, inspiration, and literally thousands of people with jobs. Et Tu? without GL, we wouldnt be here.. *points at forum banner* Also, thanks to Hayden GS for pointing out the facts to people that dont want to know any better. Anakin was knighted in CW series2. Neither Anakin, nor Obi-Wan for that matter, were the only jedi knights granted apprentices before attaining master rank. It might also tell us how he got that bloody scar. That question has been nagging me since I saw EPIII. Ventress did that, however, if George wants to change the time and place from the EU source, we wont stop him mtfbwya

JCarter426
Neither Anakin, nor Obi-Wan for that matter, were the only jedi knights granted apprentices before attaining master rank. Er...that's not the issue here. In fact, you're supposed to get a padawan before becoming a master. But you don't get a padawan immediately after being promoted to--bah, forget it, that's not the point. The point is that they're giving Anakin a young, "hot", alien padawan in order to appeal to younger crowds, and it's just bloody awful. Anakin is already a whiny little brat; there's no need to have two of them running about.
EnderWiggin
I am... Apparently this is the It looks pretty sleek, and it'll be nice to have some more Star Wars in theaters soon. No. Just no. I don't get people making such strong statements against GL. Sure, you may not have liked the PT etc, but it doesnt mean you should trash GL. Why the hell not? It's his franchise. If I didn't like PT, or the Clone Wars, or ESB, then why shouldn't I trash GL? They're inextricably linked, my friend. ~snip~ Go off, revolutionise film-making, then comeback and whine like a livejournal assclown. I'm not allowed to criticize overcooked meat because I'm not Emeril Lagasse? GL has provided millions with positive experiences, inspiration, and literally thousands of people with jobs. Ok, so? That is irrelevant here. We're talking about his decisions on this movie. ~snip~ Here's one: you seem to have cacoethes scribendi. without GL, we wouldnt be here.. *points at forum banner* We're not saying that everything he's done was awful, as the OT was good, and I didn't even think that the PT was all that bad. Obviously I'm a fan of LA in general, as they've produced some awesome games. However, there's also been some things of his that I don't like as much, e.g. this movie. Also, thanks to Hayden GS for pointing out the facts to people that dont want to know any better. Anakin was knighted in CW series2. Neither Anakin, nor Obi-Wan for that matter, were the only jedi knights granted apprentices before attaining master rank. This doesn't improve my opinion on the movie. Ventress did that, however, if George wants to change the time and place from the EU source, we wont stop him The only reason you are defending this is because you're such an EU fanboy. A good portion of the EU is crap. Just throwing that out there. mtfbwya You too. QFE Astro, you've put into words what i've felt for a long time. Bravo, Good Sir, Bravo. See above. _EW_ Where's Bobicus, anyway? He's the one always using the word asshat.
Astrotoy7
lolz, EW. Did someone put cling wrap on your toilet? Calm down mang I haven't seen CW yet, so was not referring to it at all. My only gripe is with the "GL raped my childhood" crowd...and it is not because they did or didn't like a particular movie. Sure you don't like <insert> whatever. People developing a feeling of attachment or ownership of something that was never theirs is unnatural. Expressing opinion is one thing but the deeply personal way their words attack a person is unnecessary. Why such deep criticism from persons who can in no way call themselves peers in the profession of film making? cacoethes scribendi I'd be more than delighted to discuss the writings of Juvenal at any time. PM me! ~snip~ ~snip~ mtfbwya

I just don't think that this is one of them _EW_
Commander Obi-Wan
Lol @ thread. Anyway, I can't say I am stoked to see it since I haven't really anticipated it like the past Star Wars films. But, I still want to see it. I'll still definitely see it sometime this weekend or next week.
mimartin
I haven't seen CW yet, so was not referring to it at all. I haven’t seen Clone Wars either, but by the looks of this thread we were the only ones not invited to the premier or advanced screening. I understand the skepticism, but not being this critical over something still unseen. It may be the worse Star Wars movie yet, but any Star Wars movie is better than 80% of the stuff that comes out of Hollywood. IMO
Giant Graffiti
So there is never going to be a 7, 8, or 9. We already have episodes 7, 8, and 9.

Astor
The Holiday Special is really more of an episode 4.5. Or, alternatively, a grave mistake that needs to be sealed in concrete and dumped in the North Sea.
Eefluxx
I wouldn't mind seeing it, but I can also wait until it comes out on DVD unless people start raving how good it is. In watching the link in the first post I noticed Cat Tabor is playing Padme' s voice, is this the same Cat who voiced Mission in K1? Just curious Eefluxx
Ferc Kast
Excited doesn't begin to cover the extent of my feelings towards this. I think this may make up for the lack of Clone Wars we've seen so far. So, I am counting down until it's release. We saw the beginning & end of the Clone Wars; But, we didn't see much of in-between. It looks as good as the OT & PT, judging by the trailers. Just my 2 cents.
SW01
I saw enough of the Clone Wars in Battlefront 2. I'm really not terribly concerned with them. For me, Dooku would be the one saving grace, except Christopher Lee isn't playing him this time...

Revan 411
So can I add those to the concrete vault? Yes you can Seriosly, The Ewoks film suck, and I had enough of the Clone Wars in Episode II and in the animated Clone Wars series, and why are they wasting all there time working on a film that's already be told? It makes no sense. There just wasting there money.

Maybe... just maybe, due to some strange natural disaster, SOME people didn't watch the animated clone wars series on TV, or play games with relevence to the clone wars. Maybe some people like the clone wars. like someone said, he doesn't need money, so he doesn't need to appeal to everyone. I'm not excited for it, but I'm not going to judge something at face value, and critisise it from that. If you don't like the animation, then fair enough, but it's not just for people like you. TKA-001
I'm not excited about it. I think it was a bonehead idea to give Anakin a Padawan, and I'm amazed that the concept actually got past Lucas, but I'm not overly worried about this project of his trashing canon. El Sitherino
This thread is made of Bawww! and lame. You people make me sick. It's a kids movie, it's going to have things that appeal to kids. Also, I'm sorry you can't understand the concept of a young learner as someone that is, well, young. Anakin is training a young padawan because they will grow with each other and it will develop a connective bond. Much like a Brotherhood/Sisterhood. L2MartialArt/Monk. Corinthian
Who cares what they're going for, Sitherino? It's a stupid idea for a plotline. The Hutts are gangsters. They have no battle fleet. If the Republic wants to move ships through Hutt Space, the best the Hutts can hope for is to scare them off with harsh language and body odor, and unfortunately, smell and sound don't really work that well in Space.
