Darth_Yuthura
Alright! We've had enough 'Favorite Star Trek' topic that no one bothers to think of unless we were asked. Simple enough: No poling, no restrictions, any sci-fi starship of any kind from any series or film. What would you like to command? ------ My ship of choice would have to be the USS Defiant from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. It was the first Federation ship that didn't follow the standard shape of the original series vessel. It is much more streamlined and even has a cloaking device. What joy! (For those that don't watch Star Trek, it's the ship below)
The Doctor
I have to go with the USS Voyager. No real reason, I just think it's a beautiful vessel.
Feagildin
The Millenium Falcon. I like tinkering, I like having room to bring friends along, I like speed, I like hidden compartments.
Alkonium
I'd say a tie between either a Sovereign-class Starfleet vessel (Enterprise-E), a Venator-class Star Destroyer, a Republic Hammerhead, or the Ebon Hawk. The first three feel very elegant, and the Hawk is more rugged. Anyone know of any ships that are both rugged and elegant? Though there's also the TARDIS... And here's pictures of each: Enterprise-E: Venator-class Star Destroyer: http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/d/d8/Venator3.jpg Republic Hammerhead: Ebon Hawk: The TARDIS:
RedHawke
Shadow Battle Cruiser from Babylon 5... the Shadows have the coolest star ships evar! "It was jet black, a shade of black so deep your eyes just kind of slide off it. It shimmered when you looked at it. A spider, big as death and twice as ugly. When it flies past you, it's like you hear a scream in your mind." - Lt. Warren Keffer (Babylon 5)
Chevron 7 locke
I'd take the Defiant as well. the next best choice would be the ship from Stargate Atlantis, the one that has the asgard energy beams....
Darth_Yuthura
Anyone know of any ships that are both rugged and elegant? USS Defiant. It's maybe not as elegant as a Galaxy-class ship, but it's better than the Hawk. It's tough, it's got teeth, and it can cloak... if you just want a relaxing trip. SW01
Probably not much of a surprise, but I always liked the D'deridex class Romulan Warbird: Powerful, intimidating, and sneaky. Outsizing the Enterprise D is always good too! On the Starfleet side, Either the Ambassador or Excelsior class. And in Star Wars, it's got to be the Imperial II Star Detroyer. But the Romulan Warbird is no.1!
The Doctor
Alkonium raises an excellent point. I would have gone with the TARDIS, but I wasn't sure if Time Ships counted.
RedHawke
Anyone know of any ships that are both rugged and elegant? The B5 White Star's definitely fit this bill as well. But the Romulan Warbird is no.1! For Romulan ships the FASA crated Romulan V-30 Winged Defender for me... I played the hell out of the FASA Star Trek Starship Combat Game. Sabretooth
Now this is a thread I can approve of. While I'm sure the pictures will either be linkified or a 56k warning slapped on the title of this thread, I'll add some pictures of me favourite ships: The Godmother of all Star Destroyers, the mothertruckin sweet Super Star Destroyer: Moon Space Station! Lexx!
Rev7
Probably a Super-Star-Destroyer for me. Although I do like the Ebon Hawk, and the Falcon....:/
The_Catto
The Daedalus in Stargate SG-1... Preferrably Ark of Truth stage when it has allt he sweet Asgard technology installed in it. Or the Death Star. It just commands a sense of respect anf fear, don't you think?

Darth333
Moon Space Station! http://inquizition.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/deathstar.jpg I like how that thing can be turned into great "fireworks" I'd rather chose the Ebon Hawk or the Normandy from Mass Effect: small, discrete and fast vessels... parties can be held elsewhere while watching fireworks
Titanius Anglesmith
Ooh, I forgot about the Normandy. If I was to go with a more "personal" ship over one of the bigger ones, that would definitely be my choice.
Endorenna
Moon Space Station! That's no moon. That's a melon. THE DEATH MELON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On topic: For a warship, I want the Scimitar! That's just an awesome ship! For a single-man fighter, I'd have to choose one I made up myself, the Hidden Blade.
Adavardes
Ooh, I forgot about the Normandy. If I was to go with a more "personal" ship over one of the bigger ones, that would definitely be my choice. ... You... you forgot about the Normandy? The fusion of human and turian design? The tantalus drive core? The stealth system and emissions heat sinks? IT'S THE PINNACLE OF THE ALLIANCE FLEET! Also, it's sex factor ranks up there with shirtless Patrick Stewart.
