edlib
This is my fave: Just came back from my 10-year employee service recognition dinner/ party. Woot. A decade of gainful employ. Hard to believe it's been that long... Feels much, much longer.
Keyan Farlander
I had my five year last September. All I got was a 10-second round of applause at the weekly company meeting. Plus an extra week vacation, which is pretty sweet.
K_Kinnison
worked sucked today and it was all my fault. Started out the day picking a (Truck) load of bulk butter to be stickered (all 750 cases). When i lowered my forks too soon and caused the 3,000 pound pallet to dump... from 25 feet up. about 6 cases shattered like blocks of ice. Since it was going to be used for "Concentrated milk fat" i was told to stuff what i could back into the boxes and re stack the pallet. in a freezer that was -5 below. During the process i wasn't looking where i was going and dumped another pallet (thank fully this was on the ground) . When i got the Bad pallet all stacked up I was trying to move it so I could wrap the pallet and one "side" of about 15 cases fell down... which I had to restack.. again. Ended up taking 4 hours to do this. Not happy. Was not in a good mood. People avoided me

Wildstar
Kind of a bad night for me bowling (bad enough to fall under my AVG - 1), but one of my teammates had a banner night: he not only had his first game over 200 (a 213), but it was his first clean game, as well. The performance helped us take 3/4 on the night.

K_Kinnison
Heh... heh... heh.... Bit silly. I am a wide awake drunk bouncing off the walls. Got back from doing my officiating and drinking 2 *free* 16 oz beers as i watched the last few ends of the 2010 Club Nationals playdowns. The LaBatt girls were there. Wasn't too impressed. Peroxide blonds wearing dark colored T-shirts that were the correct size and Push-up bras (possibly padded or stuffed) wearing vacant smiles on their faces. Have to be at work at 630 am and it is already past midnight. And you know what happens when you feed me after midnight. Then I have a curling game at 7;30 pm in Centerville WI. Wont get done with that tile 10pm. At least I get to sleep in Saturday as long as my Girlfriend doesn't wake me up cause she is all frisky
edlib
Another suck day at work. Another giant, high-profile show. Another night of multiple bands... the smallest of which was 14 people. And here's ALL the information about the show that I had in advance: Incredibly detailed and complete... no? Made for a great day...
Zargon
quality. edlib
That's the problem... people that do work are always given more to do by the people that don't. I don't know why I was given the task of updating our department's webpage either... but now I'm getting kinda frantic emails about making some changes to it... even though I have been working all these crazy concerts all week and haven't had time to think. Maybe they'll find someone else to do it now, since I haven't had time...
K_Kinnison
Long day yesterday, but a lot of fun to. Won first game at centerville, I played a good game and didn't miss a single takeout, and didn't throw any draws through the house, tho a few were short. US__ 0 0 3 0 2 0 2 x THEM 1 1 0 0 0 1 0 x the 5th end was big. We had 2 on the t-line and our opponent had to just hit one and roll inside. Good chance we might score one if he missed, but he would have only scored one if he made it. He missed and allowed us to be up 3 and control the game One of my teammates brought a bottle of Jamesons 12yr Irish Whiskey for after game. We got quite lit up and had a good time. But I went home safely and was nicely woken up by my girl in the morning for some cuddle time. Another game at 1:45pm
edlib
Car won't start today. Grrr... NOT bringing it back to the dealers again, though. I'm not accusing them of sabotage... but the timing seems just too perfect to be coincidence. There's a VW specialist across town. If AAA can't get it started, I'm having it towed there. That idea of a new car seems better and better every day. Mmmmm... Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X MR...
edlib
It just jump started. Letting it run for a half hour... then I might go get a new battery (it's still the original 10 yr old one as far as I know...) That surprised me... since all the electronics were still working when I tried it earlier. Hmm... My schedule for the day is now completely shot. I was supposed to get a haircut, do some shopping (need a new electric tea kettle...), pick up a belated birthday dinner for mom from Outback, and meet a friend (a lady friend, actually...) of mine from work for burgers at Five Guys. Now that's all fallen by the wayside. Poo...

edlib
Bad day for autos... something in the stars? It's been starting all right since the jump. I never got back out to replace the battery. I guess I should probably get some jumper cables... I had some, but loaned them out a while back, never to see them again. Never picked up replacements... which I only recalled in this situation. Gonna drive it over to the VW specialist to have it looked at next week, anyway. I'm working long hours every day, so it's not like I'm going to miss it much. It sucks that half of my weekend was botched by this. Hopefully the other half is salvageable...
Rogue15
1/3 done with the moving crap. i'm sore. should've stretched and warmed up prior to moving tons of boxes and furniture. oh well. my parents are mad at me cause im not calling off tomorrow to help move....i would if i wouldn't mind calling off if i could get it approved, but it 100% won't be an approved absence since there's only 1 other person scheduled in the lab, and i don't feel like dealing with another 'coaching for improvement' which will just piss me off and i might let a few words slip during the process, which could get me fired. i feel a LITTLE guilty though, since it's the easy way out of not having to deal with moving a bunch more crap. (namely the washer, dryer, stove, beds, couch, and computer table/desks).. had to tell my one friend no to going out drinking tonight, he even offered to pay for gas and everything. i need a serious break from drinking, can't wait to be moved in to my new place and be right next to the gym. hopefully my neighbors aren't communists. Rogue15
oh yeah and i almost died in my sleep this morning! yay for chest congestion..."woke up" lying on my back, couldnt move or breathe, one eyelid opened up, took me like 2 minutes to will myself to breathe before dying trying to get oxygen. it's fun trying to throw myself off the bed when i am completely immobilized, had to concentrate on forcing the rest of the air out of my lungs, felt myself slip away then come back. amazing, really. sleep paralysis never gets old! Wildstar
Yesterday, while bowling with my brother, I took a 270 possibility into the 10th frame of my last game, but could only fill the 10th w/ 10 (spare, then a gutter ball on the fill) for a 238. OUCH!
