You just named off a bunch of crappity bands with crappity sound, with the exception of U2. :) I'd say the best lead singer I've ever heard would be Chris Cornell. They guy can yell and it still sounds like he's singing. My close second is the late great Freddie Mercury from Queen.

Well I agree with you on Chris Cornell, but Soundgarden is not exactly together any more. I was lucky enough to see them at Lollapaluza 2 in 92. :) I would put more names on the list of choices, but alot of them are too old for the majority of swampies and you can only have 10 choices, so I picked some of the big ones that are out now.

jah and whitedragon, u guys gotta get out more.......Chester Bennington is the frontman of Linkin Park, which is one of the biggest rock bands in the USA. Jonathan Davis, David Draiman, and all the others are frontmen of the biggest names out now, such as Disturbed, Korn, Nickelback, etc......

Ok, for sheer entertainment, fun, stage presence, and for writing the best punk rock tunes for the last 10 years:

Billie-Joe Armstrong

of Green Day fame.

While hes got OK stage presence (i guess.. the one green day show i went to he just kinda stood there and sang and played), I'd hardly call Billie Joe the the punk rock songwriter of the decade. Lars Fredrickson and Greg Graffin can slap him up and down, as can approximately 72% of all other punk songwriters.
