DemonKing Posted February 3, 2003 Posted February 3, 2003 ...an entire legion of the Emperor's best troops can get beaten up by a rabble of teddy bears with sticks and stones. Also what use is stormtrooper armour if it doesn't stop laser blasts or Ewok sticks?
Boba Rhett Posted February 3, 2003 Posted February 3, 2003 1. That's the one thing they never trained for. 2. Chicks dig uniforms.
wassup Posted February 3, 2003 Posted February 3, 2003 I think you underestimate the Ewok's fierceness and skill at being a hunter. Watch this fanfilm to witness the horror and terrible power that is the Ewok!
Katarn07 Posted February 3, 2003 Posted February 3, 2003 Hey, stormies weren't trained for that. And Ewok's cutness is a disguise for their vicoiusness... *** Oh, armor stops bullets and glancing laser blasts that most Rebels do, since they weren't trained for combat...

A_Denial Posted February 5, 2003 Posted February 5, 2003 Well, if the ewoks didnt defeat the stormtroopers then they would have an eaven worse reputation than they already have!!
leXX Posted February 5, 2003 Posted February 5, 2003 Ewoks beat up stormies with sticks, Yoda beats up R2 with a stick, coincidence? I'm beginning to think Yoda is an Ewok in disguise. Wickets brother perhaps.
Guest Jed Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 Certainly would explain a lot... You know, I've always wondered why Yoda has hair coming out of his ears...maybe that's Ewok hair coming out of his mask's earholes... ...I see a conspiracy...
Lynk Former Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 The stormies were overconfident. They see a bunch of little teddy bear people and just go "heh, you've got to be joking"
BCanr2d2 Posted February 6, 2003 Posted February 6, 2003 Any of you that know anything about the Navy, is that they wear whites as "show" uniforms, not to be worn in combat. I would assume it is the same for the Stormtroopers in the Imperial Navy. They are not "real" uniforms, they are just for show, after all who would really take on the Empire, they have had it easy for 20 or more years. I think there is something in the stormtrooper uniform that makes any enemy lasers be attracted to them, and for the stormies to miss from point blank range....
JediNyt Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 But Storm Troopers are part of the army not navy. The reason they have trouble with accuracy is the helmets they wear. Plus they are fighting agaisnt elite Rebel commandos and seasoned smugglers. The Ewoks would get in close and dog pile the troopers rendering them helpless. But Storm Troopers are not cannon fodder. We all saw them handle a whole ship full of Rebel soldiers and officers in Ep4 and only loose 3 of their own.

Thew Rydur Posted February 9, 2003 Posted February 9, 2003 I always thought that stormtroopers were like marines, they could either be on a ship or on the ground. Aren't they supposed to be elite too?

Aren't they supposed to be elite too? Yeah. They were until the start of the Rebellion and can't predict wild native ewoks...
JediNyt Posted February 9, 2003 Posted February 9, 2003 Not all Storm Troopers are elite. Theyve got a regular infantry just like everyone else. Troopers on ships and stations who are security are not elite. They dont need to be. Most of the time they just stand around. Troopers who go on secret missions like tracking droids with top secret plans on Tatooine or guarding a secret bunker to a Death Star shield generator on Endor are elite. But so are the Rebel commandos along with legions of angry Ewoks.
BCanr2d2 Posted February 10, 2003 Posted February 10, 2003 It is known as the Imperial Navy, since they are linked with the Star Destroyers.... For want of a better term, they are technically marines...
lukeiamyourdad Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 Nevertheless, it would have sucked if the imps won the battle. StormTroopers are not exactly marines. Some are trained for space battles, some for desert, some for snowy places. So they aren't both on ships and ground. It's like saying every soldier who's ever been on a ship to be transported to a certain location, a marine.
TK-99 Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 Well i dont blame them because its of thier helmets they wear, Have you ever worn a stormie helmet? you can barely see anything like luke said in ANH ''I can barely see anything'' when he had that stormtrooper helmet on and i have my own stormtrooper armor too and i know how it feels
leXX Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 I'm so sorry TK-99, but now I picture you as the bearded dude that removes his helmet in this nerds video! lmfao ...
TK-99 Posted March 11, 2003 Posted March 11, 2003 Im no nerd but i know some nerds i meet at some starwars convention centers that have and i just got my armor for my b-day from my aunt and i never really wanted to get it
dark jedi 8 Posted March 11, 2003 Posted March 11, 2003 how accurate is that armor TK-99, and do you know how much she paid for it?
TK-99 Posted March 11, 2003 Posted March 11, 2003 Pretty well done and the only thing thats missing from it is the comlink in the helmet, and i dont really know how much she paid for it sorry
