There is an inherent problem in putting up such a limited poll for what should be an open opinion topic.

I am most looking forward to KotOR 2 - I just finished KotOR this morning again, and am really excited to play a new story with prestige classes.

After that, something not on the list - Dungeon Lords. I hope it will be as good as Gothic or at least Arx Fatalis ...

After that - SW Battlefront, SW Apprentice to the Force (GBA), Tron Killer App (GBA), STALKER, FEAR, and some others ...

I am somewhat looking forward to HL2, but IMO HL wasn't in the same league as Jedi Knight or Deus Ex, so I'm not really all that amped about the sequel (i.e. I see HL 1 as over-rated, and see HL2 as *way* over-hyped).

By the time Halo came to PC, it was just another game, certainly not any better than EF2 or Tron, again IMO.

I'm still hangin' out for JA's price to drop:D but I picked Halo 2... and yes, I do have a job, but all games are priced way too high to start with... somebody needs to talk to them about that. How can we hope to save money for more important things in life if they charge us $50 per game?

If playing KotOR doesn't qualify as 'an important thing in life' you need to sort out your priorities ;)

There have been games I've paid $50 for and felt very satisfied for my value of money - some I've bought for PC and Mac at full price and been happy. There are others I've paid <$20 and felt ripped off brutally ... it is about what you get for your money.

But what about things you will need later on, eh? Car, house (yes, I'm looking ahead a bit). If you don't start saving now, how are you ever going to pay for these?

Two answers:

- First, I'm 38 and have a very good income, already have house, cars, wife, kids, etc, and so I can buy pretty much whatever I want.

- Second - I was kidding, thus the ;)

That was also why I put in the value comment. If I were much younger I'd have a console and rent games. I'm not, and our GameCube isn't much interest to me, so I just find out what I can and try not to get burned ... like I did with Deus Ex Invisible War ...
