What do you think is the best FPS ever made?

 

I personally think it is Half-Life.

I'd say Half-life. It just had more depth than what we were used to seeing

GUYS! there is an 'other' option for chrissakes, you can't fit every single FPS ever in there.

 

 

And for me it's a tossup between HL, Perfect Dark Duke Nukem, and other.

 

I won't say goldeneye because Perfect dark semi-perfected what was in goldeneye.

The only FPS that even did it for me was Unreal Tournament... None of the other games have to this day..

Halo but I voted other cause Battlefront seems to be better than Halo 1 but not Halo 2.

Yeah, I missed that "other" option the first time around or I'd have hit that and went on. Anyways, it's hard to say what the "best" fps is, because best could be graphics, sound, gameplay, etc...But as far as I'm concerned, I like the Delta Force series and Joint Operations the best.

I'd definatly say halo, ive had it for so long and i still haven't gotten bored with it, so i'd consider it the best. Me and my brother have played at least 300 versus games on it, ive won 5.

Lots of them have merits, but i'd probably go for goldeneye as the most "well rounded" game with the least weaknesses.

 

Though, by grouping all the Jedi Knight games together you cost them a vote, as i'd rate JK as better than goldeneye, but JO etc... as not in the same class.

 

and i wasn't sure what you meant by "Doom". the original? The series? the new one? Doom 2 was the best of the series and i'd rank it just behind JK. Halflife was awesome, for the first 2 thirds.

JK series. The games all have their merits, but for sheer coolness factor and innovation in their own right, definately.

 

I edited the poll slightly, adding the Unreal series (a big omission I might add, UT was killer), and making it the Doom series, rather than just Doom.
