Sure, use it to describe someone, but only in the same way you would say "the person in the blue jumper".

IG isn't trying to classify anyone.

The guy just wants to know the statistics of what color people are.

And if people get offended by that, then, I guess my only thing to say is that you have a weird new-found "politically correct" way of thinking.

Like, I saw a standup comic on Comedy Central, and he was Mexican (doesn't make any difference, but I'm sure some people saw this guy, helps me describe him better than saying "That one PERSON"), anyways, he said something along the lines of 'if a politically correct person were to get mugged, and the cop were to try and ask the man to describe the mugger, he would only say that 'a person' mugged him. and if asked which color, he'd say 'people color'. ' (I know, it doesn't sound funny when I type it, but bah, it was great on TV)

You gotta lay back on correctness. Be proud of who you are, and if someone gets mad at you for stating what color they are, or if someone mentions the color of their "race", then they have serious issues on pride and whatnot.

yes you DO know..... between the spaniards and the portuguese, the indigenous peoples of that continent never had a chance of preserving their identity, culture or religion ;) Yes, it is absurd...

Is that an accusation or something?? The australian aborigines have a story about the same problems too.
