Surfnshannon Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 If we are going to have ads with women's boobs on them....can we at least have some cute guys in some ads as well. I mean - we can't be sexist. To be serious...the ads are starting to get out of control again.
BigTeddyPaul Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 Eww tell blondie above me to eat something more than some cottage cheese and a carrot please. BTP
Astrotoy7 Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 why dont you just adblock em STTCT ? I havent seen an ad on here in years, as its either my Internet Security proggie or Firefox's adblock that filters them out mtfbwya
lukeskywalker1 Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 SOMEONE SWAT THAT FLY!!! AHHH!!!! No really... every 30 seconds "BZZZZZZ" it gets annoying after a while. Im going to try to block adds using my mcafee. Ill see what happens.
IG-64 Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 I use firefox, and love adblock. But to tell the truth, it does have some compatability issues, and I miss some things that used to work for IE. Oh well, at least I have adblock and security.

swphreak Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 This might go better here. But, yeah, I finally got AdBlock to work... so GOOD BYE FLY!

edlib Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 You're welcome. I use IE and Firefox about equally these days... but for years I've been using IE with Webwasher running... long before AdBlock. I rarely use IE without it.
jebbers Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 i had a thread about those ads not too long ago...some of them got racey...but yea isnt this a family forum?
Seph Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 don't forget but just get rid of the lady's ads and link to deviantart or something
Mike Windu Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 That girl is... kinda hot... >_> <_< and there was an ad with a cute guy in it a while back. I know. Mike knows There should be more
El Sitherino Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 They're ugly whores. I wish they'd pick better looking women for ads. But I don't even see ads anymore so, whatever.

toms Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 surely it is in lucasforum's interests to get their advertising providers to provide reasonable ads? Every time there is an annoying or unsuitable ad more and more people start installing ad blockers... which means less and less people clicking on ads and less money for lucasforums.
Surfnshannon Posted April 19, 2005 Author Posted April 19, 2005 Alright - Photoshop people I will post an ad that I find on Lucas Forums and let's see who can make it be the funniest..

It's either those ads or "The Hero Machine".
TK-8252 Posted April 25, 2005 Posted April 25, 2005 Alright, I was at school in programming class and had LucasForums up behind Visual Basic. So the teacher is helping me with my program and goes to the desktop, but what's right there... that "dive into love" boobs ad. He didn't say anything, but you'd have to be pretty blind not to see it. So, pretty embarassing. Is there nothing that can be done about these ads?

Pick one up for $20 or so, and you've got it made.
Obi_Kwiet Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 Ahhh... +2 for my Firfox Adblock list. I'm surprised I haven't seen those before.
