Aash Li
I watched atleast 90 minutes of Revenge of the Sith today at Suncoast (Im surprised they didnt come up and say, 'alright, you have to leave now'). I found most of it rather boring to be honest. Spoiler-tags, just in case... I watched all the way up to the part where Yoda decapitates the two clone troopers on Kassyk and then the scene changes and Yoda escapes to Dagobah. I couldnt watch the part about Aayla getting killed, even though I knew what was gonna happen, Im still annoyed at Lucas for that... But I think the Yoda part was my favourite scene. 90SK
My cynical grandfather ruined the movie for me with his nay saying, but I still love the Mace vs. Palps scene. That was extremely cool from start to finish.
TheGreenGoblin
I honestly think Grevious should have been left out, he served really no purpose to the story and took away time that could have been used to further develop Anakin's fall. spinkle
Greivous is a lot more interesting of a character if you've seen The Clone Wars cartoon series.
Vladimir-Vlada
It might not be something where you see: T0t4l pWn463!!!1!11oneeleven!onehundredeleven11!!!! It is more of a showdown where you realise why Anakin is supposed to be thought of as a hero, rather than a bad guy. And to show you that he should be loved. I still hate him though... TheGreenGoblin
Greivous is a lot more interesting of a character if you've seen The Clone Wars cartoon series. So I've been told. Imagine my surprise when after hearing so many good things about Grevious the first time I ever saw him he was hacking and wheezing.
Vladimir-Vlada
Greivous is a lot more interesting of a character if you've seen The Clone Wars cartoon series. Grievous was stupid as a film character. But if you've watched Clone Wars, you wouldn't notice a thing. So I agree.
Aash Li
I thought the movie Greivious was pretty hackneyed, but I did like the clone wars version better, much cooler. There was alot more character development in the clone wars for the individual jedi, than there was in the movie, which was pretty awesome. stingerhs
^^^^ very true, but you also have to remember the focus of the movie had to be on Anakin's fall to the Darkside and the transformation into Darth Vader. that doesn't exactly leave much room to develop Aayla Secura's backstory, or any other Jedi that isn't directly tied to Anakin's fall. and i still haven't seen the second season of Clone Wars. JediKnight707
I liked Grevious, I thought that he was pretty kick-@$$ with the four lightsabers.
The Doctor
I didn't like him at all. I thought he was a weak character. I had heard all this hype about him being so cool. When I finally saw him, he seemed to me like a sixty year old smoker. He was useless, IMO.
RedHawke
I guess I'm just a little old-school, the EP III was everything it needs to be... after all if you stop to think about it we knew what had to happen in it, we just needed to actually see it. Hallucination
When I finally saw him, he seemed to me like a sixty year old smoker. He was useless, IMO. I believe you mean a sixty-year-oldrobosmoker. I thought he was interesting, but then again I liked Jar-Jar when TPM came out (I was nine, he was funny to me) @ Aash Li: of course its boring! You need a chemical found only in popcorn (it forms when you combine the butter with the corn) to enjoy it!
Aash Li
heh. Yeah Grevious looked like a smoking lung cancer patient kept alive through cybernetics... and that weazing, while I guess it fit the chara sorta, it was just goofy. I thought the fight scene with Palpitation and Windu was pretty cool and also prophetic for ep 6. heh. I think the tv was too far away because I never did see Shaak Ti, my other favourite jedi... REDJOHNNYMIKE
GEORGE!!! YOU'RE FRICKIN RICH!!! Why can't you make a seven hour movie that explores all the characters that were hyped up? You said it's the last one...you could have easily done it if you wanted to...and yes, people would sit through it and love it. The clone wars never looked interesting to me, so I didn't watch it, and don't know if there was any grievous backstory, but the movie could've really used more in-depth characters. The coughing by Grevious was actually George coughing into the mic on accident. They just decided that it fit the character to they left it. Lynk Former
So you watched uptil Yoda leaves (and not for Dagobah)?... No wonder you found it boring XD you missed the best parts. Plus once you get over the fact that Grevious isn't like the Clone Wars version (which, eventhough is guided by Lucas in a way, it is still EU and therefore shouldn't be taken THAT seriously as a guide to how characters should be)... I liked Grevious in RotS, the Obi VS Grevious fight was pretty cool, especially at the end when it really gets up close and personal.

I agree wholeheartedly! And I liked Grievous just fine. I was in awe when he pulled out all four of those sabers! There was nothing in the movie that really disappointed me, except that the acting by Hayden Christiansen at the fall of Anakin and swearing allegiance with Palpatine was a bit hollow. Otherwise, the movie was absolutely kick a$$! The absolute best one of them all!

Ztalker
I've heared they putted in Grievous to replace Boba Fett, because he would be to young, since he's only like 8 or 9 in Episode 2. I think they should have lenghtened Dooku's appearance. Now Grievous looks like a fill-up. Although i know better. On the timeline, he was introdusced right after episode 2, as to be seen in the Clone Wars cartoons. In that series, you get to see why he enters his ship in episode 3 wounded, and why Obi an Anakin enter the fight in their fighters. Overall: Uneccesary Saberfodder

RC-1162
i think the main thing was Grievous' mask. typical fork-style crappy thing. couldnt they do something else? and if his arms were able to split, he had to have at least 6 fingers. did he have 6 fingers? TheGreenGoblin
I think Maul should have ultimately lost to Obi-Wan in TPM but escaped. That way we could have had a more stable villain throughout the prequels, instead of introducing a new short-lived one every movie. Oh and just to touch on Grevious for a second, I thought it was pretty laughable how he lost to Obi-Wan. I mean if you have four lightsabers that means you can attack and deflect at the same time, there's no way someone else with only one should be able to out duel you. Aash Li
I started watching the movie, sometime around one of those scenes where Anakin was talking to the jedi council, dont remember which one though. There was also the part where Anakin and Padme were blathering away in their apartment and stuff... Grevious wasnt a jedi/sith, so even though he had four sabers, and knew how to use them, he couldnt use the force to his advantage like Kenobi could. If the Clone Wars cartoons arent to be taken so seriously, why did Grevious enter the ship wounded, when he got wounded in one of those scenes from the cartoons? The cartoons count just as much as the movies do. Rots isnt *the* best of the six, but since thats an opinion, and not a fact, youre allowed to think it. The cartoons count just as much as the movies do. Well, if you consider the cartoons canon, then Anakin in Ep3 should have just killed those droid fighters at the start with a bunch of rockets like he did during the assault on Muunlist (I think). Also, the jedi would never have been killed by their troops since we are shown in the cartoons that they are able to easily blow away dozens of droids. Cartoons (and the whole EU) are usually exaggerated in the hope of making them interesting without putting as much work into it as was put into the original movies. They should IMHO not be taken seriously or as canon.
