23 dogs killed by toxic dog food

IF you live in these states (US):

 

Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Vermont, and Virginia.

UPDATE

The FDA said some of the recalled product had been exported to at least 29 countries, including several in the European Union. Those countries have been notified, the agency said.
Read this article and check what brand of food you use.

I feed my kitty Ringo only the finest anyway!

hehe.. same here, only the best for my kitties :D

 

It appears to be a "generic" food (never heard of it myself), but I know what it's like to be hit hard in the wallet at times ;) Just wanting to make sure all the pets.. err "Masters" out there are taken care of .. hehehe

 

Actually he's not my cat, I'm his human! :D

SO true! :lol: Oh wait, gotta go.. my "Master" is giving me that "feed me! human!" look :worship:

I'm not in the effected states as I live in wisconsin but man the sucks

 

I have to give my kitty food for mature cats (she is 20+ human years old)

 

Actually he's not my cat, I'm his human!:D

wow that sucks.

 

My cat is so dear to me(see siggy) that I eat some of his tinned food to make sure its not poisonous, so my cat is in no danger ;)

That means there are some countries outside the Union that are infected. And yours may be it! *Uncle Sam pose*

Hmm... doesnt say what pet food is affected besides Diamond. But my kitty eats Whiskas, and Purina dry food.

From what I gather, it's just these brands:

 

- Diamond

- Country Value

- Professional

 

and bears the date codes of March 1, 2007, through June 11, 2007
I believe you're in the clear :)

Sounds like my cats! We have to do hairball control-weightloss-senior cat type food. Whew.

Good thing my dog hates dog food :p

 

Mine too... XD. Given the choice betweein Purina One and Iams <cat> Mira <my dog> will choose Iams every time. I have to put up Kitty's food when she isin't eating.

 

BOT:

Living in Ca. has its perks, including not having to worry about poison dog food. XD
