JediKnight707 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 ^ Oh lighten up MDK. That was hilarious EDIT: Man, that was funny, he was slapping the screen
stingerhs Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 i got 5 bucks that says the kid deserved it....
tk102 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 No that was freaking mean. What's even more mean is publishing it on the internet for others to mock his fear.
Char Ell Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Hmmm... I'm thinking emotional scars for this kid. I don't understand why a parent (I assume it's the kid's parent) wants to do something like that to his son at such a young age. To me it's funny when it's adults pranking adults but not so much when it's a young kid.
JediKnight707 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Here's a funny Jerry Springer compliation (18+ language) I just watched it, and thought I might share it. ON TOPIC: The kid'll get over it. It's still funny. IMHO
Samuel Dravis Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I thought it was pretty mean to the kid.
Achilles Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 No that was freaking mean. What's even more mean is publishing it on the internet for others to mock his fear.Quoted for emphasis. I hope there's a nasty place in hell reserved for the adult that did that.
Carthaholic Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Errr... I'm really not laughing 'cause I've been played the exact same prank (I wasn't filmed tho ) and even tho I'm 23 years old I completely freaked out, so I'm right there with ya kid! I was laughing about it afterwards - the kid will recover like I did - but the prank ended there for me. But in this case the idiot that filmed the whole scene published the video on the net to humiliate the kid even further. Now that's just not funny anymore...
Astrotoy7 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I thought it was pretty mean to the kid. yeah. It seems like it was the kids dad(?) that set it up just to tape him and to scare him. If this is true, then it is a tad cruel. Sure it's sorta funny, but at the expense of the child, who was only being inquisitive and curious, there's something unsettling about it. I hope the little tyke remembers it, and uses it to fuel his rage. One day, when he is older, and his jackass dad is all old and has a diaper, he can play a crazy a$$ trick right back on him, and watch him cry or pee his pants... still, dont get too sad for the kid....he has a compy, and if you look in the background he has a 360 and an XBox.... when I was that age I used to play with an old tyre lolz@Jerry Springer antics.... who said there's no such thing as white trash... man I love watching chicks fight mtfbwya
MachineCult Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I'm sure the guy filming it didn't expect that reaction, I sure didn't and i've played that trick on people myself. I think everyone should just calm down. "...nasty place in hell..." Um, no. He scared his kid, he probably didn't even mean to scare him as much. and "Emotional scars"? What is he 5 or 6? He will have forgotten about it in an hour. It was funny.
Vladimir-Vlada Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Was this supposed to be funny? I remember this prank. I guy on my national forum made a thread "An interesting online game". I remember taking this and it was so loud that I fell off of my chair. Most of members there told him: "Go to hell! :D". I couldn't sleep for 3 hours even though it was 11 pm. The worst thing is that someone published this... I am going to see who is the jerk that filmed this. Then I will have a pretty nasty surprise for him. You'll see.
ET Warrior Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Ha. Owned. Everyone's had that prank played on them before, it happens, you move on. I particularly loved when he started slapping the monitor.
mjpb3 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Ok, as a mother I have to say that that was possibly the meanest thing I have EVER seen! That boy's father (or whoever was filming it) deserves something like that to happen to HIM
stingerhs Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 ^^^^ if you really want to think about it, somebody probably did that to him first.
mjpb3 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 ^^^^ if you really want to think about it, somebody probably did that to him first. I certainly hope so
Jae Onasi Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 No that was freaking mean. What's even more mean is publishing it on the internet for others to mock his fear. I can't agree with you more. I _might_ find this mildly amusing if it had been done to another adult. Seeing the age of the child, however, it made my stomach turn. Whoever filmed it knew exactly what was going to happen or he wouldn't have had the camera rolling. While I'm not a big fan of pranks like this, it's certainly not something you do to a little kid, and it's absolutely not something you publish on the net. I'd even consider forwarding that to Child Protective services for emotional abuse if I knew where this was coming from. It may not seem like a big deal to some of you, and yes, the kid will likely recover just fine. However, if the person who did this is willing to put this kind of thing out on the internet as 'fun', there's a good chance he's doing other mean things to this kid as well in the name of his warped view of 'fun'.
Tysyacha Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Boo! That was about as funny as a sharp stick in the gonads. Poor kid!!! :~(
Point Man Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Hey, guys, before we go crucify the father, let's get facts straight. We don't know who it was that filmed it. It could have been a big brother, an uncle, his mother, a babysitter, anybody. I could very easily see my big brothers doing that to me. As a father, I have to say sometimes I jump out from hiding and yell, "Boo!" to scare my kids. On occasion, I have taken it too far. Everyone makes the mistake of thinking a child will react in the same way as an adult sometimes. However, when you do take it too far, you have to stop and come to the aid of the child. Then you have to apologize for hurting the child. That is what makes me mad: the filmer obviously shows no signs of remorse for scaring the child so badly. To keep the camera rolling when the kid is coming to the cameraman for comfort is just plain cruel. To put it out for everyone in the world to see is reprehensible.
igyman Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Now that was just so not funny. I would ever so much like to crush the neck of the meatbag that scared that poor kid like that and what's worse filmed it thinking it would be funny. As for the Jerry Springer video - it's Jerry Springer, you can see fights like that in every single of his shows and if you think that stuff is for real, then you should think about it more carefully - those idiots are probably being paid to ''fight''.
Det. Bart Lasiter Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 Hey, guys, before we go crucify the father, let's get facts straight. We don't know who it was that filmed it. It could have been a big brother, an uncle, his mother, a babysitter, anybody. I could very easily see my big brothers doing that to me. Quoted for emphasis, unless the kid calls his father by his nickname ('Jed', which I assume is short for James) it wasn't his father, so it was probably the kid's older brother or something.
