RaV™
Anyone notice that more than half of the forums I view on this site are basically dead? I just wonder if this the lack of people being interactive with the game or the decline of Star Wars Fans.
Det. Bart Lasiter
No, I noticed that as well. Though I suppose there's nothing we can do about it
Reclaimer
We need to get the Star Wars Classic forum back up. You know, start it back p with some activity. Or at least I try to...
RaV™
What's weird the only way I was able to find this place was when I accidentally went to the wrong place when I was looking at the 1st KOTOR website. I think this place might be a little more active, if it had some sort of advertising? The costs though is the problem..
Achilles
I guess the question becomes "is there life after Episode III?"

RaV™
Well, if there is no KOTOR I guarantee I won't see as much of the people as I do now. Also before I took a hiatus from the forums about a month or two after ROTS came out when I got back I noticed not as many people were around. Sure there were new faces, but the decline was very able to see.
The Doctor
People are getting bored talking about the same two games constantly. That's why I started in with the RP area. If it weren't for Darkness Falls, I would rarely come here until KIII came out.
RaV™
I find most of the good rp's already too far in to join OR they don't have that great of a plot. I can tell what starting rp's will last and not last.
lukeiamyourdad
Bah, this place is way more active then SWGB.net between GB and E@W. The second LA announces KotOR 3, this place will be alive again.

†Saint_Killa†
I guess this is the most active of all. E@W is almost dead because it was kinda getting boring, they should release the mod tools!!!!
REDJOHNNYMIKE
I hadn't really noticed much of a drop (<_< >_> haven't noticed sithy around though, no new egotistical photos every three minutes?) Ahto has been more laid back it seems, there hasn't been anything really awesome-crazy mojopoints worthy in a long while, I guess everyone's still coming out of hibernation. Samuel Dravis
Well, usually there's a lull after the initial rush for a LA game is over. Then another is announced, and the noobies are back, and we have fun again.
REDJOHNNYMIKE
But the 1337's seem to have chilled a bit too? Could the lull of energy really be a lack of newbiekibble?
FiEND_138
Hmmm probably. Or just real boring threads or **** that we covered months ago -mostly talking about swk since this is pretty much the only place I post at LF- , topics like should K3 be real time, who do you wanna play as, returning party, etc. etc etc. For myself, I've just been in an anti social human filth hating mood. Also, if memory serves this part of LF was pretty dead between K1 & tSL, except for HL & the time when OE started releasing clips & art work. Astrotoy7
lolz...only noobs would complain about slowness.. There is always a fervour on the boards all round after a films release, and shorter bursts associated with a games release. AHTO and the swamp are the busiest community places and neither has had a recent release to boost its traffic. Its the *members* that makes places thrive, not the fly-by-nighters that pop in to say "OMG EPISODE III is 1337" ... AHTO has built up a good group of regulars and with the help of some great mods/admins and handsome old timers from the swamp, it has become the "Clean" Swamp of LFN mtfbwya

ChAiNz.2da
hehehe... I wouldn't worry too much over it. There's always a calm before the storm as the saying goes Many of us are still here... just keeping a silent, peek-a-boo eye out... Playing other games, modding. etc. Rest assured it'll "pick up"... Astrotoy7 pretty much nailed it though.. LFnet really depends on it's regular members to keep those spokes a turnin'.. the one-time "zOMG'ers" aren't really anything but fodder for most of us anyways hehehe... The Source
LucasForums.com will allways be active in some form. 'Empire at War' is not as good as the KotOR Series, so I didn't expect any real activity in those forums. If you were to look at the visitor count for 'EAW', you will notice that maybe 2-30 people going in the forums. The lack of visitors in the 'EAW' section is not LucasForums' fault. The game really doesn't have anything intresting to keep people entertained. The KotOR forums usually has about 40 people strong. If you are soley counting the number of names you see at the bottom, that will give you an inacurate count of visitors. A few moments ago, 200 visitors were in the count of guests. Even though they do not sign in, that does not mean they are not there. StarWars Forums is allways plagued with visitors. When the next big Lucas game comes out, these forums will be filled with curious gammers. On the main pages, we used to be able to see how many members exist. I believe they are well over a million. Astrotoy7
...I believe they are well over a million. wow. certainly not. its 90K+ people registered. As far as regular/active users I'd say its about 10-20% (if that) at any particular time. The admins have the ability to pull these numbers if they really want to mtfbwya

On the main pages, we used to be able to see how many members exist. I believe they are well over a million.Like Astrotoy7 says LucasForums has nowhere near 1 million registered users. But you can still see current total numbers for threads, posts, and users on LucasForum's main page. http://www.lucasforums.com/index.php? I keep coming here for Ahto, The Unknown Regions, and Coruscant Entertainment Centre. I check out Yoda's Swamp and The Senate Chambers from time to time as well. But TSL went gold over a year ago and pretty much all of its discussion topics have been worn out IMO.
Bob Lion54
Many of us are still here... just keeping a silent, peek-a-boo eye out... Playing other games, modding. etc. I think that pretty much sums it up. I come everyday to see whats going on in Ahto and the Swamp mostly because the people here are cool. My post per day has gone down, though. Seems some of the recent topics haven't been that interesting to me but thats just the ebb and rise of the forums. Still waiting for news of K3 but Oblivion is doing a nice job of keeping me entertained at the moment. EDIT: On the main pages, we used to be able to see how many members exist. I believe they are well over a million. You mean this? I just copied that from the main page. Looks like there are 110,944 people registered. Forum Statistics Threads: 143,468. Posts: 1,937,558.
