Black Knight of Keno
Exactly. The terrorists train with BF2 while their leaders train the american strategies by downloading and playing Americas Army...
Alegis
Digg ftw The next tier in blaming violence on videogames, terrorism A bunch of fools claimig to be experts are informing congress
swphreak
For a second there I thought it was going to be the media reporting on old news with an anti-video game tone. At least they got the news right, and I think everyone in congress needs to die of old age, and some new blood to take over. The old people are freakin' out of touch these days. Sigundr
Omfg, the people in congress have some serious issues, due to the fact that they're to old and their brains are slowing down so they can't comprehend these video games and play them themselves. They're just jealous and are, in essence, saying "If we can't play 'em, nobody is gonna play 'em" Pathetic a**holes.
TK-8252
I don't think it's jealousy as much as it is fear. Old people always fear the "new" thing. Rock and roll when it was first popular faced bans, now video games, etc. We know these things are all harmless, although people who grew up without these things don't understand them. They take them literally (OMG, you're killing Americans in that game! It must be evil!) and apparently cannot tell apart what is a game and what is reality. But since when did anyone in Congress know what reality is anyway... Anyway, I just finished playing a couple rounds of BF2. I guess now I feel compelled to blow myself up in Iraq. Now where'd I put my AK...
RoxStar
Congress has always been poorly informed on video games. If "our" side of the story was shown, I'm sure they could be swayed from their incorrect ways. oh, and lollerskates to the framerate issues ABC news was having with the free version of fraps
TiE23
That was funny as hell. They are so stupid when it comes to the younger generation's stuff. I just hope they don't go farther than what they did to GTA:SA. That would suck.
Tyrion
It's true. Whenever I played the MEC in the game, I always had this burning desire to kill the Americans because they took me flags! Strangely enough, when I was American I killed the MEC just so I could tea bag 'em.

Samnmax221
I saw this on Nightline a few days back, besides members of congress being confused the News anchors also appeared to be outraged. This is a classic example of somebody finding something they don't at all understand and making it into something it's not. This is incredibly like when media got ahold of the "Harris Levels" back in 99'. They didn't have any clue what it was and made it into something it wasn't. Congress ought to actuelly investigate things before they start condemning them.
Lantzen
"A american game", lol the programers is a swedish company, just because EA release it, dosent mean that americans have done the game. MrWally
At first I was afraid it was going to say BF2 has been switched to M (or AO) because it "promoted Terrorism"... or something like that.
BongoBob
No, but be prepared for it God damn, I can't wait for the old ****ers to die so we can get some younger people in there that know what the **** Battlefield 2 is. TiE23
I loved the part where that one guy describes "how the video uses humor to get the person sucked in to it, and then twists them to like it and then want to do it." Acting like he was a professional and that the maker edited it in a special way to make it twist you're mind. When the entire time he was just taking MEC team footage and putting it to music and stuff. So silly.
Dagobahn Eagle
WTF?! Created by the USA? And you can play any number of nations! On which maps?! As for the terrorists posting games on their insurgency web sites, fine by me. Won't make much of a difference.
