Which KotOR do you play from time to time?

Knights of the Old Republic hit the shelves in 2003. After a year, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords hit the shelves. Three years after the first release of KotOR, and I was wondering which one do you play more often. Does the KotOR series still hold game replay for you, or are you onto another game?

Its funny that you bring this up today, because I started replaying KOTOR 1 today. I've also played through KOTOR II a few times.

I haven't really started any long games (such as KOTOR, or Zelda) in awhile, for various reasons, but mostly, it's because the only console I own is a GameCube, and Legend of Zelda is pretty much the only extensive game. I have been meaning to get Oblivion, for PC, though. I also[/offtopicrant]

Kotor is great because you can play it again and again, and find new things each time, which is why I'm starting another game. I'm amost off Taris already.

I restarted KotOR1 myself a few days ago (after a re-install, as I must've broken something along the way and it was crash-happy). I find its replay value much higher than KotOR2's, even though KotOR2 probably has more game-to-game variability. I just don't have the urge to play it again :/.

Added the "both" category for voting ;)

As for myself, I 'had' to vote "I'm playing another game" for the moment since I only have Oblivion installed since my re-format...

However, I won't be surprised to see myself loading K1 here relatively soon.. I'm getting that "itch"... hehehe

I play both and have both for pc and Xbox. I have played KOTOR way more all the way through, but I enjoy TSL more. I just usually stop when I get to Malachor V after you defeat Darth Nihilus and talk to Carth I find the game pointless after that until you get to Sion and Kreia.

I played Jade Empire about four or five play through after it came out. I really enjoyed Bioware’s game twists in KOTOR and Jade Empire more than Obsidian straight forward story telling, but after the first play through I know the twists. I like the story of TSL better and still enjoy playing it over and over. I do not believe Jade Empire has the same replay value as either KOTOR or TSL.

I just reinstalled KotOR I a few minutes ago. I am going to start a fresh play through tonight. I just downloaded the Skipspire mod, so I don't have to worry about the Spire level. I haven't played through KotOR I since the release of KotOR II. For the past year, I have been trying to keep KotOR I installed. Every time I installed it, I end up uninstalling it the day after.

About three weeks ago, I reformated my harddrive and reinstalled my software. KotOR II was not re-installed. I have no pleasure in reinstalling it any time soon. Time to give KotOR II a long hiatus.

When it comes to KotOR I, the game was calling to me from the game case. For the past few days, KotOR I kept saying. "Its time to play.. You know you want to play... Play KotOR I..." I am actually in the mood for a complete play through. I am actually excited about playing KotOR I again.

Since the games are tied together, I usually play one and then the other, changing genders and alignments, etc., and keeping consistent on Revan's history into the second game. Currently, though, I've been putting in more gaming hours on TSL than Kotor 1.

Oh, and I'd been consumed with Oblivion for weeks before dusting off my Kotor discs (it had been a year since I'd played TSL and two for Kotor 1). This time around I finally discovered the Kotor mods and that has been a big factor in keeping me playing now.
