Since Christmas Day is approaching, I've decided to post a Poll on favourite Christmas songs, traditional or not. Here is the list:

Happy Christmas (War Is Over)

Wonderful Christmastime

Do They Know It's Christmas

Step Into Christmas

Merry Christmas Everybody

Silent Night

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

Deck The Halls

We Wish You A Merry Christmas

Other

My favourites are all of the songs in the polls, including Do They Know It's Christmas (Original, not the new one), Fairytale Of New York and more. Basically, I like every Christmas song. Vote for your favourite(s).

Merry Christmas everyone.

My vote, based on the options, is Silent Night. Especially as sung by Aaron Neville. He has a great Christmas album.

I'm also quite fond of his version of Let it Snow and Louisiana Christmas Day. Its odd, though. After listening to his version of Christmas songs, with his unique singing style, I can't really get into anyone else singing them. They just sound too plain.

Now, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra has a great album too. Carol of Bells and A Mad Russian's Christmas are done great, as well as everything else on the album but those are by far my favorites.

Another song I like, but unfortunately haven't heard a really great recording of, is We Three Kings. The closest good version is one sung by Sammy Kershaw. His voice is great in the song, but then he has some weird "Barber Shop" singers come in that ruin it.

Of course, who can forget Feliz Navidad?

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas

From the bottom of my heart!

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Favorite 'traditional' songs: O Come, O Come Emmanuel and O Holy Night, and the Hallelujah Chorus from the Messiah.

Favorite 'newer' songs: Mannheim Steamroller's Christmas songs, Steve Green's Christmas songs, Bing Crosby's White Christmas (no one does it better than he did), and Michael W. Smith's 'Emmanuel', 'Ring Christmas Bells', and 'Gloria'

And just for fun, Little Saint Nick, especially the Muppet version--too funny!
