Daft Adidas
What do you all think of Pets? Love em? Hate em? It really hurt me when my dog died a short while after Christmas so all I can say is yes I love pets. I know to get a good pedigree you might need to pay alot but I think they are worth their money. Talk about it.
Reclaimer
Eh, I don't care really. They're good at times, but they get annoying for me. Maybe it's because my bad experiences with pets.

Caius Fett
Pets have always been a big part of my and my family's lives. I remember the first one we ever had, her name was Lady, a 80 lb Black Lab the greatest dog ever! Unfortunately she got heartworms and had to be put down. Since then we (my family) have had a number of different pets including several different breeds of dogs (curently a doberman) as well as cats. I think overal pets are a good idea especialy if you have children or live alone. They can be very therapudic in many ways altho it can be really hard to lose one to illness or some random accident like getting hit by a vehicle. @Ray Depends on what type of pet you have. Cats or maybe a ferret or even a hampster would do much better in that kind of an environment than say a large dog would.
JoeDoe 2.0
A city is not a good place for a pet, if you live in the country, is way better there I had a cat, but he's now RIP

Sabretooth
I like pets, they're real cute and all. I've never had one, because I don't think I'm responsible enough, and I don't really need one. Besides, it's that poop all over the place. I like other people's pets. I've owned a fish tank for about 4-5 years, with no fish remaining. We're planning to sell it off now, since all the fishies died.

JasraLantill
I love my pets! I had the odd goldfish and a string of hampsters when I was a kid. Then moved up the 'pet ladder' to a cat when I moved out of the house (as I lived in an apartment.) Currently, I've got a Border Collie and 3 cats (who are all outdoorsy cats so no litter boxes to clean. yay, for living in the country!) and I'm currently 'pet sitting' for two rabbits, a guinea pig, and three horses. (Well, one horse and two Shetland ponies, but same difference really. ) I'm not too crazy about birds as pets, though. (Probably has something to do with a neighbour's Macaw biting my finger when I was five.) Snakes are tolerable, but I wouldn't want one for a pet myself. (All that 'live' food you have to feed them? Ick.) Reptiles like iguanas or turtles are ok, but I know that they can be quite susceptible to diseases if they're not cared for properly. (So too much of a bother for me.) And, my least favourite 'pet' of all has got to be a Tarantula. I had a friend who had one once and tried time and time again to get me to hold it, but all that was running through my head was, "Where is that can of Raid?" If it does turn into a debate, we'll move it appropriately But this could into a huge debate about which pet is better!! I love pets, but I never want any for myself when I get old enough. I simply don't have it in me to actually take care of them. They sound good out of context, but I don't want any for myself. My famiglia currently has dos cats, uno dog. Jae Onasi
Two cats for us, one girl who is 19 and very sweet but dumber than a box of rocks, and the other, a boy, is 14 and sometimes acts like a dog, including learning tricks. Cats, provided you're not allergic, work well in an apartment. They don't need to go outside (and survive longer if they don't), and are pretty low maintenance with feeding/watering/changing the litterbox (which is terribly easy with the litterbox liners). We have some allergies in our family, but we think having our kids learn how to take care of an animal that depends on them is important enough to make up for the allergy issues. We'd have to deal with allergies with or without the cats anyway.

BTW cats make kick ass companions. Obviously you have to expact the occational destructional of cups placing too close to table edge(kicked during kitty chase) or clawmarks at the foot of your furnitures or hairballs on EVERYTHING during the coat change seasons. But its well worth it And if you have a smart one like mine(oh, only one of them is smart, the other is dumb as a dumbell) mah kittah tells me if "abnormal things" are happening in the apartment. This can range from forcet turning on(their own doing) to food in the microwave ready, to air conditioner is leaking, to people knocking on the door... MdKnightR
I keep an aquarium with 2 Ryukin goldfish. Always been a goldfish person. They live very long lives, don't bark or pee on the floor, and always look up to you (especially during feeding time). I'm not a dog person by any means, but I'm okay with cats. My goldfish were savage. Towards the end of my aquariam's life, I had two goldfishes and two angle fishes. The elder angle was magnificent and large, the other rather tiny. I introduced a new pair of goldfish in. The first died in a week - he just died. The other had his fins ripped by the other goldfishes. The guy just couldn't swim. He floated to the top and just hung out there with the others pecking him. The goldfishes had actually bitten off his fins. The poor guy lasted three days without limbs. Without able to swim or do anything in general, the guy just, died. I've been having nightmares about goldfishes ever since.
Spesh Belim
I love pets my family had gotten several dogs. The one we had the most was part beagle, part border collie, and part fox terrier. Her name was Molly, we had her for about 9-10 years untill she got cancer, then we had to put her down the old fashion way due to the fact of not having the money to take her to the vet. Afterwards we raised several cats, and bought some fish. Then I moved out of my parents home and had to get rid of the fish because my landlord did not allow any pets. They don't need to go outside.Yeah, since cats naturally evolved from under-the-couch-fluff, they instantly atomise when contacted with err grass. Hm. I don't know, I do not have a good feeling when it comes to leaving a cat alone in an rather small apartment for 9+ hours every day.

For your possessions or it's health Health-wise, cats are ambush creatures, as opposed to dogs (pack hunters) that have an inherit need to run.. run all day long...constantly... As long as you have a hallway or open space, it's plenty enough for the typical domesticated kitty to get it's exercise Can't speak for your possessions however.. hehehe. Curios out of nature, there's no telling what a cat may deem "fun", chew-worthy and/or claw sharpening quality
