Well I'd love to help. I'm just finishing off my mod, which should be finished some time this week, depending on, well, a lot of things. But my available time just about until the end of the year is erratic at best. However, I'm reasonably competent with scripting, dialogue and file manipulation, I just can't do reskins or modelling.

 

Rather than fill up the thread with this, I'll give you a PM.

The docking bay is really beautiful - and erroneous or not, I like the pink fog over the horizon! I’m glad you haven’t lost your steam.

I'm also working on Yavin as you know, but i'm getting off school in two weeks (YAY) which means i'll be able to alternate between projects for a few months non-stop. :D

 

Also, as soon as I get my WalkMeshes working, i'll be able to help you model some areas too. :)

 

If you'll have me back that is. :p

Here's some more screenshots. Nothing exceptional, just some ships that move around the module... You might not can see the ships too well, but they're there and they move.

Edit: I may have to add this in as a placeable. KotOR crashes when I try to exit.

Yeah... The only problem I can see with this, graphically at least, is that the Skybox is wrapped around the Landing area like a cylinder... I don't know if that's the effect you were going for, but it looks... bad, especially when the sky just starts from it.

 

Who knows, it could just be the angle! Anyway, I'm glad to see that we're getting traffic around this starport! It always bugged me that there was no traffic in the game...

 

Keep up the good work, and check on the skybox wrapping...

You can see the ships without looking up at all, I just angled it so you could see them better. The skybox is a cylinder, and it's supposed to be that way. I know it doesn't have a lid, but that's something I'm going to have to work on...

 

I've been doing a high def skybox mod for TSL, you want me to look into doing you won one you on Sleheyron?

If it's just a cylinder in Max, convert it to Poly, select the Border sub-selection, select the "hole" and hit cap.

 

But you probably knew that. ;)

 

Unless of course the model is fine, and it's just missing texture. :p

That would be very nice, J7. What I really could use is a so-called 'lid' for it. I'm not that great at texturing, or I'd do it myself.

 

Both come as part and parcel of the package :) ; especially given that generally the hardest part of doing the skybox is getting the lid and top's of the sides to match seamlessly. Hunting down high def pictures suitable to put together is going to be interesting :xp:

I'd rather you just use the ones that are already in-game, since there isn't much at all about Sleheyron anywhere. When I said I needed the lid, I just meant the texture. I can do the model. ;) The skybox model in KT is called skyboxbase.

 

Hehe, fair enough... I'll get too doing the lid. I presume the Sleyheyron Skyboxes are filed under S in the ERF's in KT? I presumed wrong... Just had a look; where about's is it located?

They're under the 'L' tab for some reason, like every other area texture. Called LSL_Sky 1-4, I think.

 

File's are arranged a little different in TSL (in skyboxes case more logically); should be able to wip you up something for the end of the day; I'll send you over a couple of variations for testing when done :)
