Rev7
Everybody is dying lately! R.I.P George Carlin.
Totenkopf
Well, given his problems, he had a pretty good run. Heart disease is a b*tch. May God have mercy on his soul....he'll probably need it.
Emperor Devon
*Sigh* and I'd just started watching some of his acts. May God have mercy on his soul.... "I don't have any beliefs or allegiances. I don't believe in this country, I don't believe in religion, or a god, and I don't believe in all these man-made institutional ideas,"
Totenkopf
*Sigh* and I'd just started watching some of his acts. Not really, ED. I've known about Carlin for a long time. I was originally going to make the statement more conditional (like...if there is a God....). Btw, his early stuff is better than his later stuff (though State Prison Farms is a really funny piece.....dark, but funny).
edlib
This makes me sad. I've been listening to and reading Carlin since long before I ever should have been let to. (I think I bought my first album of his when I was 11 or 12...) He was an uncalculable influence on how I think and see the world.
The Doctor
This has seriously ruined my day. He was a great man - witty, clever, and wise in his own, twisted way. My favourites have got to be Seven Dirty Words and Hippy Dippy Weatherman. You'll be sorely missed, Mister Carlin. Rest in peace.
Jae Onasi
He changed the face of comedy in the US, that's for sure. I'll miss his humorous observations on modern life. RIP.

JediAthos
yup...Carlin was one of the few remaining people on this planet that wasn't afraid to say what he was thinking and he didn't give a damn what people thought about it. I wish there were more like him.
