I was logging out of my yahoo when I found the trailer. I found it very thrilling & shocking. I read the books when they came out, so I recognized most of the dialog in the trailer.

I, personally, can't wait for it to come out in November.

Those kids are gettin' old though, they need to step it up. Especially if they're still talking about splitting Deathly Hallows into two films.
IIRC they're filming them at the same time so it won't be much of an issue (in the "omg they're getting so old!" kind of way, anyhow).

A lot of my friends didn't care for Half Blood Prince but it was one of my favorite books in the series so I'm definitely looking forward to this one.
It was my favorite book in the series. I was really looking forward to the scene were Dumbledore meets Tom Riddle for the first time, but now I’ve seen it.

Voldemort's child actor should have looked 'scarier'.
I disagree. At least in the trailer, I believe the actor nailed Tom Riddle. There is enough to make you worry, but not so much that you think Dumbledore was a complete idiot in his younger days for allowing Tom Riddle to be trained.

Wow wow wow. Why haven't I seen this until now?!

Even if the films do just completely kill the books, I can't wait. :D The trailer wasn't exactly the best I've seen, so whether that'll reflect in the film, idk.

I miss waiting for the next book to come out, now all I've got are the lousy films...

It just came out today, lol. And this was probably more of a teaser, we'll probably get a proper trailer eventually.

meh, I probably won't see it. I kinda lost interest because I was severly disapointed with the last book. That and ever since Prisoner of Azkaban, the Harry Potter films have been trying to be an attempt at trying to be Tim Burton. This is my opinion anyway

While the trailer looks decent, I'm not so sure that it will be great. To be sure, I'll see the movie, I just have low expectations for it. Especially after the adaptation of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. *shudders*

Hey hey hey hey hey, the Order of the Pheonix movie was a damn sight better than Prisoner of Azkaban or Goblet of Fire.

What you've got to realise is that the films are only based on the books, despite the fact JKR completely invented the idea lol

They miss looooads of info out of the books, but I guess it isn't an exact copy of the book.

I love all of the books :D they were amazing! Best ones had to be 5th and 7th.

How am I just finding out about this?! Anyway, the sixth book in theory should make a good movie as its shorter, and there is plenty that can be cut out without ruining it. But that just theory.

I quite agree with The Doctor; this was much better than the 3rd (urgh) and the 4th movies. Although originally Luna was not supposed to make the cut for the 5th one but J.K. Rowling put her foot down. Maybe me and Burnseyy are the only ones, who are Luna fans :xp: but if they cut her I would have been pissed. I know that its hard to get everything from the book but seriously, they could make the movies a little longer. Hell the Lord of the Rings ones were like three and a half hours each, about an hour longer than Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix. 30 minutes could have been easily added, and could have made it so much better. Honestly I think the 1st and 2nd films were the best.

But anyway, I´m looking forward to this movie, despite the fact it will butcher the book.

Trailer looked awesome. It's just a shame we didn't get a glimpse of the 'big scene' :xp:.

Terry Gilliam was Rowling's first choice to direct the series. I wish he would have - if it was anything like his previous films, they would've been great.

I'm sick of Tim Burton, and I don't think he would have done too great with Harry Potter - he's much better when he's creating things on his own, as it gives him a free reign over things.

But, I quite like the visual aspects of the film adaptations - I think they fit in really well.

I'm insulted as a Harry Potter fan. -_-

I realise that's your opinion, so I'm not upset with you personally, but Tim Burton is a morbid hack, and there isn't a single one of his movies that I would miss if they had never been made. Anyone who tries to emulate his work deserves to have their movie fail miserably, in my opinion.

Exactly what I think. I never been a real fan of Tim Burton myself, but not like I want to anyway. Lets face it: he killed Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Oh yeah, the first two films were epic and made me get hooked into the series in the first place. There was just a certain rich texture about Philosophers stone and Chamber of Secrets the remaining movies could never mimic.

Good trailer; can't wait to see the movie when it comes out! But was it just me, or is Dumbledore getting mumblier and harder to understand?

Yeah, but I'd rather have it this way than have to sit through a five-hour movie just 'cuz they put everything in.

Quentin Tarantino > Sir Carol Reed > Sir Ridley Scott > Tim Burton

I could just be stringing together names of famous directors with pretty arrows or I could be informing you of some eternal truth. We'll never know. I certainly don't.

If they made it twice the length I'd be willing to pay twice as much (Hence what they're doing to Deathly Hallows). - I like it when movies are extremely long, but I'm really anal about things being correct.

Oh, and Ridley Scott. :^:

I honestly would not mind a five hour movie but I understand that others do not. But they could have extended the Order of the Pheonix by half an hour a least. I was only 2 1/2 hours long. They are catering too much to little kids and not the teen - adult fans IMHO. At least they got the right idea for Deathly Hollows. Two movies...yay! :D

Serpentine: Its not just, you, I was thinking that as I watched the trailer. " mumble mumble -Memory- mumble mumble -Voldemort-" :xp: Its a shame the 1st Dumbledore actor (Richard Griffiths I believe) died. He made a good Dumbledore.

I can take Tim Burton to an extent...
