Revan 411
I agree with JCarter426, this movie is not very exciting, if by any chance this movie is good, I still won't see it. Not excited, not going to see it. Maybe I'll watch it once it comes on television. I've had enough Clone Wars for a lifetime. Same here, in my opinion, I think the Clone Wars era is a little too overrated. 1. Have you seen that animation? <raspberries> 2. No council member in his/her right mind would ever let that impulsive, childish idiot take a padawan, war or no war. 3. Has got to be the most stupid plot device that I've ever heard of. The more I see about Anakin, the less believeable the notion that he and Darth Vader are the same person becomes. GL just needs to let this era die already and move on before he kills Star Wars for good. I'm not sure if your agreeing with Carter, or disagreeing with him, but either way... 1. Yes, everyone has seen the animation. 2. Meh, what can you do? George Lucas, has been like that for years. 3. I, agree with you on that.
Titanius Anglesmith
I might end up seeing it, simply because it's Star Wars, but I'm really not excited for this at all. I didn't even know it was coming out so soon. Plus, it's completely unnecessary. A TV series is enough. The only reason this is being made is money. Sigundr
Hey, it looks awesome and it's Star Wars. I'm just happy that there's ANY Star Wars.
Q
I'm not sure if your agreeing with Carter, or disagreeing with him, but either way...Just to clarify: yes, I wholeheartedly agree with him. Hey, it looks awesome and it's Star Wars. I'm just happy that there's ANY Star Wars.Attitudes like this practically guarantee the continued decay of a once-great saga. Lucas obviously doesn't care if it's crap as long as it turns a profit. Oh, I'll probably see it too; eventually. I just refuse to shell out any money to see it if it's crap. Astrotoy7
haters can go jump in the lake, Im more excited about this and both upcoming TV series than Indy or anything featuring a welshman dressing as a bat etc. All I need is *one* good saber or space battle in that film and i'll be happy. We already know about the vertical battle, which looks awesome. @Schmorgy...you gotta be kidding... do you really think Lucas needs the money?? Heck, the guy is only worth 3.6 billion US, a few million more isnt going to make or break him. Hor HD fans.... this will be the first Star Wars that will be in Full High Definition ..meaning a BluRay release shouldnt be too far down the track. Yum! The one thing I am curious about ...will there be an opening scroll.... going to see SW in the theatre wont be the same without an opening scroll!! I hope there is one mtfbwya

Prime
still don't like the idea of Anakin having a padawan. Why is that? I've heard this a lot, but never really understood the reason...
Revan 411
Why is that? I've heard this a lot, but never really understood the reason... Because, Anakin is still a padawan him self, the padawan he has, doesn't even make a appearance in other Star Wars movies, or EU, that and its retarded, they should scrap that idea as it makes no damn bloody sense. Prime
Because, Anakin is still a padawan him selfHe was a knight by the time of ROTS, so likely he was a knight at the time of this show. As for the other stuff, that has happened forever.
Jae Onasi
We're going to see it Saturday for my son's movie b-day party. I don't know who's more excited to see it--him or me.

Hayden Kered
Let me clarify, in chapter 21 of the animated series the council promoted Anakin to the rank of Knight (his padawan braid was removed...remember) in the new movie he does not have his braid, thus proving the movie happens after chapter 21 and the rest of them making Anakin a Knight in the movie. The council gave Anakin a padawan in hopes that it would help him focus and calm his instincts. And since Anakin was the chosen one the council probably wanted to try and trust him as they did with Obi-wan when they allowed him to train Anakin. Anakin's padawan may or may not die, but her fate may be a key point to his falling, just as was his own belief that attacking Windu to protect Palpatine was the right thing to do. He didn't just turn Sith all because of Padme. Once again, so Jabba has a son, it may not be his offspring, but there is such a thing as adoption. Most of you think that he screwed every thing up since his SW come back. Why? Because he didn't make the movies the way you wanted them to be? Like I said it was his story he told...get over it. Sigundr
Yeah, well, the truth hurts. True that, Qli. It might also tell us how he got that bloody scar. That question has been nagging me since I saw EPIII.
Taos
I might go see it on a quiet Monday or Tuesday evening after my finals are over. The fact that it's animated is why I'm a little hesitant. Call me old school or whatever, but since it is Star Wars, I'm willing to overlook that aspect.
Corinthian
Jabba the Hutt's son has been kidnapped? I won't comment on the state of his offspring, but...who cares? He's a mob lord. This isn't exactly a Galactic Emergency, it's a case of "My son has been kidnapped. Vinnie, go whack Xizor and bring him back."
Darth_Yuthura
Why would the jedi even CONSIDER helping a worthless hutt's spawn? The jedi should actually be facing the wickedness of the gangsters, but they must be turning one enemy against another. Maybe that's why the jedi are helping the Hutt... in order to coerce him into doing their dirty work. I'll bet that's the reason why they're doing it. Hayden Kered
In 22 BBY, during the Clone Wars, the ten-year-old huttlet was kidnapped by his great-uncle Ziro, with the help of Count Dooku. The kidnapping prompted Jabba to make a deal with the Galactic Republic to rescue his son, in turn for free passage through his shipping routes. Ravnas
Yipes, it would be one thing if he had info on secret bases of the CIS, but this is just stupid.
Prime
Why? The Hutts are more than just gangsters, they are an independent government and hold a large area of space as well as resources. Free passage through their space allows them to reach other areas faster an with less cost, which makes it a strategic advantage. With the war dragging on, why wouldn't the Republic want the Hutts in their corner? We'll have to see what the story execution is like, but I don't think the idea itself is stupid at all. Maybe that's why the jedi are helping the Hutt... in order to coerce him into doing their dirty work. I'll bet that's the reason why they're doing it. [/Quote] You have to remember though, that there is a vast, intergalactic war going on. In war, circumstances dictate actions. In this case, as has been said, helping the Hutts gives the Republic a tactical advantage. So you can forgive the Jedi for overlooking Jabba's past misdeeds. By helping him, they serve the greater good of both the Republic and the Galaxy. Jabba the Hutt offered the Republic FREE PASSAGE? Wow. I'm going to go crack a rib laughing. I don't see why it's so stupid. Jabba owns a shipping lane, and obviously wants to make a profit. If I owned a piece of land, that happened to be a popular travel route, i'd charge for its use. And by offering the Republic free passage, they'd be in his debt, and more inclined to listen to him when he impounds some of their ships for not paying the due fees.
