Pfft, we all know that 98% of teenage Harry Potter freaks are also fans of that twilight book (I'VE DONE THE RESEARCH) They're all still hyped up about that ew twilight book, they need to give it time to chill down.

Eh, I still won't see this movie when it comes out. I haven' seen a Harry Potter movie since, like, 05.

Not happy about it, but the job of corporation is to keep the stockholders happy. If the stockholders are happy already with this year’s results, then putting the movie off till next year makes sense from a business stand point. However, the decision is disappointing for the fans.

The real reason Warner Brothers put off Happy Potter movie till July 2009

Did not want to risk the competition with “Beverly Hills Chihuahua,” which hits theaters October 3.

Yeah, somebody from work called me last night as I was walking home. It's pretty lame.

If it was to be released in November, it would be competing with Quantum of Solace (both "British"-based movies) and Madagascar 2.

As I hear it my sister is very mad, but being as how I'm still suffering from jet lag I kind of missed her this morning. I'll send her a text message and see what kind of expletives I receive in return.

I'm kind of annoyed myself, but as I'm sure my sister will point out, being the Harry Potter fan she is, it will give me more time to catch up on the books.

Wait, that's considered competition? o.O

Please be assured that we share your love for Harry Potter and would certainly never do anything to hurt any of the films. Over the past 10 years, we have nurtured and protected each film, and the integrity of the books upon which they are based, to the best of our ability.

That, my friends, is an example of a corporate lie. The movies have twisted much of the good that resided in the novels, and turned it into profitable nonsense.

However, as he stated, it does shorten the gap between the two movies, which means more profit at once for the beneficiaries.

Something foul is afoot, and it smells remarkably like bovine excrement.

Concur.

My thoughts exactly. I don't care how many people like Madagascar, it does not have anything close to the Harry Potter following. The Harry Potter following is similar to that of Star Wars, though generally made up of mostly teens, but we dress up for the movies and camp out to get tickets. (well I don't do that but you get my point). Its only a matter of time before there are Harry Potter conventions.

Indeed, something foul is afoot. Damn those greedy corperates! Oh, well, guess I'll have to wait. Incidentally, I heard a while back that Emma Watson (Hermoine) said she did not want to make anymore films. Has anyoner heard wether she is still playing Hermoine?

She already signed on for the rest of the movies. She's not going anywhere.

If I were her I'd be too busy building forts made out of money to care about how I'm known.

Point.

Oh, yeah, Rowling is well...rolling in money. Hermoine may build a fort but JKR could build a small city. Now that the books are done, she just has to sit back and let the cash flow in. Still mad about having to wait longer for the Half Blood Prince, its not like any of the people behind the Harry Potter movies need more money...they could all build forts.

I'm pretty sure Emma Watson just wants to be known for something else than Hermione. She'll be in eight Harry Potter movies (Deathly Hallows will be in two parts). That adds up to about ten years of her life for one series and at a young age. :p

Isn't she legal now?

I find that the Harry Potter films have deteriorated from their past quality. However since I read Deathly Hallows I have completely alienated myself from any other Harry Potter media. I shudder to think of the film they are going to make out of Deathly Hallows.

Yeah, they have gone downhill. But Itill go to see them because they are better than nothing. The first two were well done I thought, but after that...don't get me wrong, I love the movies, but thats really only because of the books. If I just saw the movies without the books, I might not keep coming to see the new one.

@Pho3nix: Yes I believe so. ;)
