TriggerGod
I personally think there should be all kinds of sabers. Long sabers, Fork Sabers (and, no, I don't mean the mod by Kristy, I mean the real fork saber), Lightclubs, and, maybe even Underwater Lightsabers, but only if the game will include an underwater scene, like in K1. Ctrl Alt Del
Tonfa sabers. Spoon sabers. Saberless sabers. Durasteel sabers. Nah, we've already got too much.

SW01
I'd like to see them try the lightfoil, a more primitive lightsabre that can be used by non-Force-sensitives. The lightwhip would be good, too. Dual-phase (extendable) sabres would be an interesting variant as well.
HIGH ON PIE 14
The more variety the better, IMO. I would love to see a lightwhip. Though I'm sure many people will go overbaord and request things like lightmaces *shudders* I would also like to see smaller lightsabers that attatch to your fingers...bah maybe I'm getting a little too X-Men here ~HOP
Astor
An absolute NO to 'light-chucks'. They're so awesomely stupid and ill-concieved I can't begin to express my absolute disdain for them. Oh, wait, I just did. And I don't like the idea of 'lightclubs', 'lightmaces' and any thing that isn't simply a variation of a simple, straight blade of energy. Shotos and double blades are quite enough thank you.
TKA-001
The standard, curved, and double-bladed lightsabers are the only kind that Star Wars could ever possibly need. I say "go to hell" to any other kind of saber, because nobody has ever thought of a different one that isn't not only impractical, but also doesn't even look cool. Examples include the light-whip (why doesn't it sizzle through the floor whenever it's used?), and the fork-saber (one vertical slash and the thing's cut in half). I also don't count the "shotos" as a different kind because they're the same as a regular saber except a different blade length. Shoto is a stupid-ass name anyway. Corinthian
Okay, first of all, a Lightfoil is just a crappy version of a Lightsaber. A non-Force Sensitive can use a Lightsaber just fine - Boba Fett held his own in a lightsaber duel with Darth Vader, for example. For a little while. I mean, it is Darth Vader we're talking about. At any rate, NO. NO. NO. First, what the hell is a 'Ring Saber' Secondly, NO. LIGHTWHIPS ARE THE STUPIDEST IDEA THAT HAS EVER BEEN IN STAR WARS. Well, except Jar Jar. So instead of saying 'NO,' just state your opinion and don't be judgmental. Iron Rose
The Lightwhip has always seemed rather stupid to me and I've never even heard of the ringsaber before, so I'll vote no for those 2. I'd rather just have more customizable hilts.

Corinthian
Yuthura, that WAS me stating my opinion. It isn't necessary for me to put 'IMO' or 'IMHO' before every single one of my posts. It's obvious to everyone that I'm stating my opinion. But in this case, it's not an opinion. Lightwhips are stupid. And yes, they're both probably equally unrealistic, but that doesn't change the fact that Lightwhips are STILL STUPID.
Ctrl Alt Del
Reason for the lightwhip stupidity: light-whip (why doesn't it sizzle through the floor whenever it's used?) And it's lack of point. What's it good for, anyway? Ring saber? Try to imagine the metal replaced by focused energy blades.

Corinthian
Wow. I never thought I'd see a concept of a lightsaber that was stupider than the Lightwhip. Well, I did once see a Lightscimitar, not to mention a Lightscythe, but this takes the giddy biscuit. Lightsabers are cool enough without adding in a bunch of extraneous crap. Standard and Double-Bladers. Shotos are fine, too, because they're just shorter versions.
GodsillY
In all honesty when I think starwars I think double blades and standard, I didn't know what half these saber forms were until reading this post, and quite honestly they are all just weird, for KotOR 3 let's fix the problems of K1 and K2 not make more by trying to fix something that both Bioware and Obsidian did right. (that of course being lightsaber types)
Sir Vougalot
Neither. They are so stupid, and the authors who have decided to include them in their works are glorified fanboys.
Corinthian
I wouldn't mind some new kind of lightsaber as long as there was a DC-30 Reflex Save or Die on every use.
JediMasterJambi
How about the Lightknife?! WHOA! It silces, it dices, its...a knife... Then we can all use the phrases like "Never bring a lightknife to a lightsaber fight." Or.."You call that a lightknife? THIS is a lightknife." No? How about the concealed lightsaber shoe-knife?!?! BAM! Kick to the gorin and extend lightblade....ow....NM. How about the LIGHTGUN?!? You see, its just like a gun, except it shoots pure beams of energy!!! Wait...that sounds familiar.... How about...TEH LIGHT ROCK?! Its just like a rock, except replace all the stone with beams of pure energy. Then you just pick it up and...*Ow* On second thought, lets just stick with the 3 standard sabers...^-^
Ztalker
I'd like to see a more...rough saber. Not that perfect laser line, but more a shocking and pulsing flamish saber. But maybe that's more of a design thing...
Arátoeldar
The Double. Short, Normal sabers only with a better variety of hilts.
Sir Vougalot
I'd think it'd be cool if you could obtain a proto-saber at some point. They are the ancient lightsabers depicted in the Tales of the Jedi comics, where the energy cell had not yet been developed enough so as to be self-contained, but had to be external. As such, the saber was connected to the Jedi's belt via a wire. Those were sort of neat.
TriggerGod
variety of hilts. Heres my thinking: When you get a chance to create a saber (and there should only be a few chances to get a pre-made hilt. You gotta make a saber with your own components) you should get a whole bunch of saber parts. A bigger variety of saber colors, lens that give the blade an effect (like a flaming aura thing), a choice to have that cover thing (like the one on Yoda's saber, or, if you prefer, like one on Dooku's.), and the base hilt thing (kind of like what they did with JA, but with more variety and creativity). Then, after its all said and done, you can choose to add details. Markings, grips, ect...
