s-island
Interesting project. Now all we need is for someone to make a program that'll let you do digital recordings of all those tiny iMUSE MIDI pieces and replace them!
TheJoe
Hmmm... Nah.
ThunderPeel2001
Actually that would be great. The music on the Amiga was better, but that's for another time I think
TheJoe
Hmm one thing at a time! And I'm not a big enough tech head to go hacking into iMUSE. I mean, look at all the patents. They're so important that they're mentioned on Wikipedia.
s-island
Pah, Amiga, it barely had any music. I was talking about finally making the MT-32 version fully portable.
TheJoe
Yeah! Gabez just accepted my request for a hosted site! Woop! Â I'm still waiting on login and shizz. But it will be up with some kind of WordPress default theme and this snazzy banner:
TheJoe
The MI2 Speech Project website is up! http://speechproject.mixnmojo.com/ Â There will be a forum up soon and all discussions on the project will be moved there. Â Later on today I'll have a fully-working proof of concept download up. This will be the first time anyone (who hasn't heard the radio play) will get to hear our new Guybrush! Â To go through the loopholes and legal stuff, you will actually have to manually insert the speech yourself, all of that will be explained with the POC. Â And it's mine and Justin's birthday tomorrow. We both want an Elaine. Give us Elaine! I've had one audition.
Jon N/A
This is the Second Biggest Fan Project I`ve ever seen!!!
MJ
Later on today I'll have a fully-working proof of concept download up. This will be the first time anyone (who hasn't heard the radio play) will get to hear our new Guybrush! Â Scalping my actors now, are we? Â Although I have to admit, the second video is rather good. Let me know if you need any characters still. I'd be happy to help. Â Oh, as for getting an Elaine... the character of Carl in Beneath Monkey Island was originally 'Carla'. I never had any luck either. Â It worked out for the best though, I think!

Jenni
I'll work on getting the voice of one of the female characters to sound right. I'd love to have a part in this.
ThunderPeel2001
Great job. I listened to the proof of concept (it only kicks in during the fire speech for those who want to try it). It'll be great when it's all done. Your Guybrush does a really good job, although there a few clunky deliveries. Can't wait to play the final version! Mr Cheese
Yay! I want to be Stan when he comes up. I'm not sure I have any appropriate voices for any Scabb characters, except maybe my own voice for the cook - I'm Australian, and I reckon that might suit him. I'll e-mail you a recording soon. Â PS. I reckon Largo should be Irish
Ascovel
hmm... Largo's name suggests someone Spanish or Italian.
Gabez
When Dominic Armato voiced Largo for the Mixnmojo April Fools joke, he made him Irish, for some reason. I don't know why! Â Spanish sounds good to me.
ThunderPeel2001
I've always (ALWAYS) imagined Stan as sounding from the deep south. "Howdy!" Â Certainly NOT as he sounded in CMI
