Keyan Farlander
(I wonder if I should remind her of the fact that it's our 1-year anniversary... that I first met her at my buddy's house on Thanksgiving a year ago.) Yes, you should. Just don't call it an "anniversary." But women like it when you remember stuff like when you met. It shows you care or some crap. Rogue15
i seriously wouldn't bring it up unless you intend to put your intent to date her out there.
edlib
Well,.. I'm sure that window is pretty much shut (and probably locked, and maybe barred and alarmed...) at this point. I wouldn't call it an "anniversary" anyway... just say something like: "Hey... wasn't it last year at this time... Huh? How about that?" Well... I'm on my way back out to that... even though I'm seriously fighting off slipping into a tryptophan coma at this point.

edlib
Last night: Pretty chill. Only a handful of us. Watched Pink Panther 2, and spent the whole movie picking out local locations, and people we knew. Found all of M.'s scenes. Her lines got cut, though. (The movie itself was pretty 'meh.' Not terrible... but certainly not exactly fantastic. Funny in parts... but mostly just silly.) Party at work today. I don't think I'll volunteer to be a host ever again, though. Not really my thing. This will either be a huge, epic event... or a total trainwreck. I guess I'll know when it's all over. So far I only have a small handful of confirmations... but somebody told me that they heard that there were a lot of people that I invited who are planning on attending... but they just never emailed me a RSVP. So I really have no idea at this point what the numbers are really going to be like. After the responses I got, I envisioned a small intimate gathering... but it could turn into a totally rockin' bash. I'm actually a bit scared. It's all on me not to let it get out of hand. Yikes. How inconsiderate. When the people who never RSVPed show up, you should say, "You know something? NO SOUP FOR YOU!"
edlib
I might use that... except that it's a pot-luck event, and everybody is supposed to bring something with... If they already have soup, then I will epic fail. It's also supposed to be a big ol' jam session on stage. It would have been nice to know in advance what people play, so we can try to balance the groups... but it will probably degenerate into a free-for-all anyway. Well... we'll see how it goes. If nothing else, it will be a learning experience for me. (I.E: "Never, NEVER do this again!!!!")
Keyan Farlander
Nobody brings freaking soup to a pot luck But yeah, the jam on stage will completely fail - I'm calling it right now.

K_Kinnison
Got back from a Thanksgiving with my Lady and her parents. As I have said before this was my first time meeting her parents. There wasn't too much to be thankful for. The just of the story is Kathleen's mother has an inoperable brain tumor. I knew this before. Her mother acts a emotionally like a 5 year old. It is hard to describe, but she enjoys more simpler things. Mainly cheesy movies on TV, NCIS, or mysteries. Kathleen cooked turkey dinner, stuffing, sweet potatoes, peas (for her mom), mashed potatoes, green beans, and dinner rolls. Nom nom nom. After dinner we watched a movie and then her parents went to take a nap. So Kathleen and I walked over to the nearby "Roach Motel" so I could check in. for $55 a night it wasn't much. But we had a chance to snuggle and talk. Kathleen is taking her Mothers condition rather hard. And it is difficult for me to know what to do. The best I can do is make her laugh, and enjoy what she can of life at the moment. It is quite likely given her moms condition she might not last another year. Be surprised she makes it until summer. So what is left of her mom is celebrating her last Holidays. So at the moment our relationship is kind of of on hold. brought back plenty of food, but because her parents were around i didn't get any nookie

edlib
Party was OK. A lot of people showed... but the jam session was kind of a dud... until just before I had to pull the plug, anyway. The last 20 minutes of the night were the most exciting... but by then it was too late. There was always someone playing, but nothing seemed to gel all that well. (I just realized what the big difference was: It was only at the end that we had someone there who could really play drums. The rest of the time, it was non-drummers, incl. me at one point, at the drum kit. Not a good thing.) Everybody who spoke to me claimed to have a good time, anyway. They all wanted to know when we were doing it again. Not too soon... and it will have to be someone else in charge. That's my last party hosting ever. Ick. Keyan Farlander
^ Cool. Sounds like it could have been worse, and in a party situation, that's a victory. So anyone up for ODST tomorrow (Sunday)? Could also play some Street Fighter IV.
edlib
I'll let you know. I want to catch up on some much needed sleep, then run some errands. But late afternoon/ evening should be free. Linda Eder here today. I don't know who she is... but apparently she's kind of a big deal... or something. Easy, easy day for me at any rate... and that's all that matters to me at this point. Rogue15
i'm alive, so i'd say it was goodnight. crazy seeing muzzle flashes and hearing "pop pop pop pop pop" and realizing how close you are. though i was in a parking garage, above it with a nice view. it was weird how it started though, we all left the bar at 2am, and there were about 4 cop cars in the parking garage blocking and then one of them said 'shots fired' and so we were like 'eh ok lets find the car' and on the way up to it, we were talking to some girls about it and looking over the edge of the garage and saw and heard it. it was ****in crazy!!! cool picture of the day:
edlib
Sounds like you are hanging out in only the best neighborhoods! Still have a lot to get done today... and all I really want to do is nap.
edlib
May not get a chance to fire up the game machine today... at least not until later. Still catching up on chores around the house. Ran around all day doing shopping, and trying to get my and mom's cars ready for the colder weather that is inevitably on it's way soon (new wiper blades, full tank of anti-freeze washer fluid, make sure all the tires are in decent shape, etc...) Now I'm doing a bunch of cleaning and organizing that I've been kicking aside for weeks... PLUS: I have a new oil burner furnace being installed on Tuesday this week... so I need to make sure that area over there (always a notorious disaster area...) is cleared out enough for them to work and get back and forth to the bulkhead. Taking a bit of a break... but I have to get back to it pretty soon. Ugh...
Kuuki
I just finished an essay thats due tomorrow. My academic planning professor wanted said essay to be writen why people wanted to study Computer Science. considering he wanted a 2 page essay, I can't possibly condense 15+yrs of background in computing in two pages. so, I'm handing in 6 pages
