Pepsi Sinks to a New Low

Now, don't get me wrong: I already knew that Pepsi was a disgusting, thieving corporation that has never had an idea that they didn't simply steal from Coca Cola. But I saw a commercial today that brings them to all new levels of low - a commercial that introduced their new advertising logo.

If you don't see it right away, as I did, flip it upside down. If you still don't see it, here's what it reminds you of:

I realise the logos were never all that different to begin with, but I'm convinced that Pepsi is merely playing on the recent drama in Washington to boost sales by tying their product subconsciously to one of the most popular Presidents of the modern age.

Despicable.

I noticed that but what really got me is how much they're spending on updating the logo worldwide. Something like 300 million. I think it's a pretty bland logo, myself. It looks a bit like a multicolored "lolling" Pacman.

I was happy with their old logo, dunno what was wrong with it.

I usually like it when companies "freshen up" with new logos and such, but the new one seems kinda off.

Pepsi = useless doppleganger corporation to Coca-cola. Thusly, nearly everything they do is a ripoff of another company. They're like every other corporation: a leech of human life. They know no shame.

I thought the exact same thing. :)

I don't really care about logo's. Let them copy. As long as the product fails to deliver, it won't help much.

The thing with this is that they probably paid someone a boatload of cash to come up with that logo.
Sorry but according to the contract I signed I'm not allowed to release information on how much I got paid.

are you saying corporations and ad executives are greedy ****s who would rape a baby for a quarter and wouldnt bat an eyelash about stealing someone else's intellectual property? because i have a hard time believing that sir.

Ok Woodrow Wilson or should I call you FDR?

No problem...having drafted the contract, I know it anyway :xp:

Seriously now, I've seen much worse...

I just dont like pepsi because its tastes bad

Even in spezi it tastes bad, its absurd. And poweraid is better than gatoraid

Damn straight! Competition keeps products good, it's time gatorade had to work a little harder. I'd like to see more products.

Pepsi is lackluster.

If they change it again in a few months, I'm convinced.

You , sir, FAIL!

Both taste almost the exact same, yet poweraid is almost always on sale for half the price of gatoraid and even when not on sale its still a lot cheaper. And poweraid doesn't make up crazy things like rain or the gatoraid that had to flavors then charge an extra dollar so you can buy watered down sports drinks or have poorly mixed gatoraid flavors. The only reason I drink gatoraid during the fall is because I work at an ironman aid station in the middle of nowhere that none of the officials ever go to and when the do they don't ever notice that a few crates of gatoraid disappeared with all of the workers.

Glad someone is making money in this economy...

woah careful i might take offense at being compared to the man who dragged the u.s. out of the depression

I suggest you crack a good U.S. history book. FDR and his policies were what extended the depression. Which is why the depression of the late 1920's to early 1930's is known only in the U.S. as the "Great" Depression. It took WWII to actually life the U.S. out of its' depression.
