K_Kinnison
Thanks giving was wonderful. Even if it was just with my mom and dad. My Dad roasted the turkey, cooked the squash, boiled and mashed the potatoes (I peeled them), and made the gravy. While i cooked the veggies and made the stuffing. Rounded the meal with a wolershiem winery spiced red wine. And for dessert we had Key-lime pie. Nom Nom Nom. After i cleaned the kitchen and washed the dishes I was ready for a nap. My Cat decided to run around outside since it finished raining. I was rudely awoken by my cat jumping up onto me with his cold wet paws. and watched a Pumpk'n chuck'n contest on Discovery. Tomorrow i go to my Ladies house with her parents and partake in another gorging... and perhaps buy a ring (DUH DUH DUNnnnnnn)
Cmdr. Cracken
Thanksgiving for my family has been wierd over the past few years. My sister and I work weird days, and mom always ends up working. So we don't have a traditional sit down anymore. We basically.... do whatever. I played **** tones of Starcraft II. Keyan Farlander
Thanksgiving was pretty standard for me. Hung out with family, ate lots of turkey, etc.
Det. Bart Lasiter
Thanksgiving was pretty standard for me. Hung out with family, ate lots of turkey, etc. Did this then tripped on mescaline, walked to the store when I thought I got screwed and it wasn't working, then was surprised when it kicked in on the walk to the store. Which I stumbled around in for a while before buying cough syrup and ginger ale in an attempt to convince the clerk I was sick and not the reincarnation of Hunter S. Thompson. I then proceeded to drink *all* of the cough syrup because I was 'sick'. Then I went home, got obsessed with my phone since a bunch of people started texting me, and tripdialed people. Like an ex. I told her I wanted to be friends again because I "like having friends". Overall, I had a blast. Better than the dinner beforehand anyway

Cmdr. Cracken
Date went well. I think we may have angered the waitress because after we ate we spent another..... .oh god, 4 hours just talking? I take it as a positive sign.
K_Kinnison
Cracken. The waitress cannot complain. Especially if there was still an open table around. Cmdr. Cracken
Interesting facts: Since we started the annual one year thread, this is the 8th attempt at doing so. Of those 7, this one is currently ranked 4th in overall posts. (COULD CHANGE!!!!) The one with the least posts is the original thread made by Rebel Loyalist. That thread has 266 posts, and i believe it failed. The most is Episode IV, and it's XWA record of 3,482 posts in one year.

edlib
We rock. Yes we do. The XBox has returned home. Seems to work just fine. So far, all my game saves and DLC appear completely intact. Not crazy about the latest UI update... a bit too Wii-ish for my tastes. I guess that's to appeal to the new Kinect crowd. But whatever... as long as it keeps running, I'll be happy. Keyan Farlander
I haven't been on Live in a while, so I haven't seen the update. It sounds terrible, though. Why is it in software that subsequent updates almost invariably make things worse?
edlib
Check your warranty status before you download the update. If your machine survives it, I might be up for some multiplayer Reach at some point soon.
Keyan Farlander
Cool. We really need to get a bunch of us from here into some kind of multiplayer Star Wars game, too. What does everyone have? I have: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter X-Wing Alliance Jedi Knight Jedi Outcast Jedi Academy Battlefront II All on PC. Also, I'd still like to play through the X-Wing series as a community at some point. I've been away from those games for too long.
edlib
I have all those for PC except for Jedi Knight and Battlefront. I haven't tried installing any games on this new computer (with Win7) yet... and I have no idea if I have a joystick that works. I just got my (legal) $40 copies of Photoshop and Soundbooth, and have yet to install them either. Probably won't happen until this weekend at the earliest now. Wildstar
I have XWA and XvT, but there is no game port on my current computer, and I don't know if I'll pony up for a USB stick that I'll only use to play games I'm less than marginally good at (I was better at the original DOS X-Wing). I'd also have to use Markus Egger's MSI installers, as I'm running a 64-bit CPU with a 64-bit operating system. I already have something to look forward to posting about in next year's "one year" thread: some of you might not know, but I'm involved in my area's FanForce chapter, and I just heard from one of our chapter reps that there will be a bowl-a-thon in March at Boston Bowl, which is a USBC-certified center, to benefit Autism Speaks, my chapter's designated charity. Needless to say, I should be there with bells on!
