A simple post on Facebook does not say enough. A simple post in my very own bastard creation "Very Good Things" thread is just selling it too damn short...

To the artist formerly know as Dath Max. A guy that has challenged me in various light saber duels on Hermes' Place over the years. A guy who I kept in touch with when mIRC was still an acceptable mode of communication. A guy who introduced me to Dune, the proper made for Sci-Fi Channel mini series, the cool one that I loved. The only one that didn't give me crap about admitting my long lost love for all things Star Trek. A guy that posted many threads that made me laugh. A guy that was never afraid to use himself as the source of all things funny. A guy that bought a piece of land and became a lord. A guy from Yoda's Swamp that was allowed around children but was never arrested!

He met a beautiful girl, and fell in love, and finally tied the Knot.

Dath Max, a name that started off as a typo, but rather than admit to a mistake, Dath just ran with it, and became a legend among swampies for stories around the proverbial camp fire. I lift my glass to you sir, and I wish you the best of success! May the force be with you, live long and prosper, and remember that no matter where you go...there you are!

Dath Max, AKA Apollo, The artist formerly know as Dath Maximus, Paul, and at times Muad"Dib.

I lift my glass to you sir in well deserved happiness to you and your new found beautiful bride!

Now! In proper Dath Max tradition, everyone get naked and drunk! Where the Hell is Rhett? Come Rhett, this is a pants free tradition dammit!

Congrats man. Nobody deserves happiness more than you...Okay everyone deserves happiness more than you, but YOU wouldn't take that lying down. Way to club your cave woman and drag her to your hut.

Most people wait for happiness to find them.

Dath Maximus makes happiness his Bitch.

Alright kiddies, time to tell ya some of the fun details of the wedding. First of all, up until the day before the wedding, it had been raining all week. So it was good that saturday was nice and sunny, not very windy and in the mid 70s temperature wise.

The wedding ceremony itself went really well, no crazy mess ups, just a nice wedding.

After the wedding however is when the fun started. As you may know, we melted a grill. And not some little dinky grill you'd get for $10 at wal mart. No we melted a $400 big fancy grill. We caused the coals to reach a temp of over 1220.58 degrees F (the melting point of aluminum). And the bottom of the grill didn't just give way and fall out, the metal became molten and dripped down. Got to break out the fire extinguisher.

We also had a Nacho Cheese fountain, or...tried to have. In theory it would have worked, even tried to work, but the cheese couldnt get hot enough to flow correctly. So it just looked pathetic instead. But it was delicious.

My wife, being a pastry chef, made her own cake, it was a yellow cake with lemon curd filling and various berries. She fretted about it, but everyone else thought it was beautiful and tasted great, it had marshmallow fondent icing on it too.

After we finished eating, we had an epic rockband party complete with bad singing and crazed drumming. I even sang Poker Face as if I were Barry Gibs from the Bee Gees. All in all it was a very memorable and fun wedding.

Now...Enjoy some pics!!

My god...what did you put in the coals to make the thing get THAT hot?!?!? That is some crazy $*** right there. I love cheese fountains for nachos. That cake already looked delicious; the mention of what it is made out of is mouth watering. Glad it went so well.

*thinks that I see what the reference of no pants is about* Nice colors indeed.

The grill thing is just f***ing amazing. The picture of (I'm assuming) a friend/relative giving the thumbs up over the melted remains of it is just priceless. Congratulations again man :)

Also her cake looks fantastic, and now I want a good home-made cake ><
