I would have to say when Manny is getting ready to board the Number 9. Although it sort of sucked, just because a great game has just reached the end. But still a great ending!

oh, yeah, right, i just woke up that morning and said to myself, "self, I think today would be a wonderful day to mud wrestle with some poor lucasarts forum person. I really hope that someone instigates one and that Lemmy is standing by with a portable mud ring..."

It doesn't suprise me that the women here can joke about this, while the men have been noticably quiet. The men are all: "Erm...could we get back to the subject please?" It's been my observation that women are braver than men in almost all things.

It's no accident that Elaine was written as a mightier pirate than Guybrush. In life, women are stronger-willed and they merely allow the men to think they're the ones in charge.

We stumble through life, guys ...and women pick up the pieces of our mess. From your mothers to your lovers ...thank goodness for women. :)

The differnce is women aren't fussed about what size they're boobs are... guys often worried if they're 'big enough' hehehehehe

Anyways, back to the subject :p

SAM: swearing in long-hand, asterisk mouth

sorry everyone

Ah of course, now I remember! ScummVM only recently made S&M playable, so it's been a while :)

**Drops his ruler--kicks it out of sight**

Huh? I'm not worried about size. Not me. :p

Totally... I LOVE that part. The music is so cheesy, it's hilarious.

The favorite (or at least the most atmospheric) moment must be from the opening scenes of The Dig, when the sun comes into view from behind the asteroid, Low says "May all your prayers be with us" and Michael's stunning music goes crescendo. I get shivers from that part every time. *thinks about it* *shivers*

Another great one is in Grim Fandango: the transition movie between the first and the second year, when the camera first tracks up the restaurant tower, stops in the sky and then tracks back to the casino with excellent cinematic scoring from Peter is a true winner. (And the best cutscene in the game, IMHO.)

Mine would be either that or the bit when manny scythes the flowers off salvador's body (someone else said that i think) but that bit is truly amazing, the music, the slow-mo, ahhhhhh....

Joonas!!! How ya doing buddy!

Ok, I got another fave moment, I know most of ya think it's corny as anything... but in The DIG when Maggie Robbins comes back at the end, with that smile on her face... awww man, I was so happy! *sniff*

And I think someone already mentiond the Plunder Bunny scene from MI1.. which you don't always get to see.. true classic!

What is up with that really sketchy scene in GF where Manny goes off with glottis to the scene of the contamination in the diner in the beginning? I remember it being all sketchy and Picasso-like but then they never did that again for the rest of the game....just doesn't really make sense from my recollection.

MI1: The machine

MI2: Pumping the monkey

MI3: Listening to Mr. Fossey speak

MI4: Monkey Kombat

MM: Solving the Ted puzzle

DOTT: Freezing the hamster

Indy3: The crypts

Indy4: Playing with the flashlight

Indy/IM: The dialog box asking me if I'm sure I want to quit

FT: That cool part just after the iMuse setup, but right before the end credits.

GF: Year 2

S&M: Electrocuting Max

BTW, I tried that pencil trick and my man-boobs could hold two pencils, three pens, computer mouse, five sheets of paper, and a turkey leg. Guess this means I need to play less video games, eh?

Just kidding. I have no man-boobs - just wanted to make the girls feel better. (I am happily married, so that is *NOT* a pickup line.)

That site is rather out of date, mind - the latest CVS tree has pretty much full support for DOTT, MI1 and MI2 (cd versions only) and fairly complete support for S&M. The Dig is the latest work in progress, you may have more luck than some. ScummVM makes it possible to play your old lucasarts scumm games under Linux, BeOS, Windows 9x/2000/XP and even on your iPaq PocketPC (forgotten the link to that one tho).

Latest builds can be found here: http://scummvm.sourceforge.net/daily/

Note when downloading the windows builds - change the extension from .gz to .exe - they arn't REALLY gzipped..

[Edit: Actually, I just discovered the latest builds have music turned off. I'll get that fixed ASAP; if it doesn't work today, try tommorow :]

Amazing! That's my favourite part too.

No no, I quite like the ending cutscene, in which the dialogue goes something like this: "I'm not really a communist. I just pretended to be evil." "Really? Great! Let's go drink vodka!"

Hey, Infernal Machine had some cool levels.

Too bad my CD 1's missing, I can only play half of them. :(

And my Grim CD 1 is broken. Since I don't have it installed at the moment I can't play any of it. What is is with me?

My all-time favorite moment is in Monkey Island 2 when you put the rat in the vichyssoise and have the bartender go ask the cook about it. The dialogue is just hilarious after you hear the barkeep take a sip and the little rat starts squeeking. "OH MY GOD" followed by, "you're fired" and "look at all the hair! And what's this stuff!? I'll never get rid of this junk." And then he comes back out of the kitchen, places the bowl on the bar, and tells Guybrush, "here ya go."

Yah, I already said that one. It's "Here's your soup." :)

whoa, this is like a thread before I was born.

My fav LA moment? when Boston has to cut off Brink's hand with a dull alien jawbone.

I laughed my ass off. Who would've guessed The Dig would have so much humour in it?
