Pedantic
What kind of watches do you all wear? Or do you not wear a watch? Do you prefer digital or analog? What brand do you prefer, if any? Do you like resin or metal bands better? Why do you wear a watch, if at all? Explain. At the moment, I have two different watches that I alternate between. One is a Swiss Military stainless steel watch. The other, which I just bought recently, is a Seiko, also composed of stainless steel. The Swiss watch is quite a bit larger is size than the Seiko. In general, I relegate my Swiss watch to "play" activities, while I wear my Seiko for more business-like atmospheres, such as school. I also have an old digital Seiko stainless steel watch that used to be my father's until he gave it to me. Both of my primary watches are analog, mostly because they are simply more professional, in my opinion. However, I have no qualms about wearing a digital one, as they are easier to read, but I have yet to find one that doesn't look "cheap" because it is digital. And having to actually think to read the time keeps my brain alive. At this point, I prefer Seiko watches, because they are very reliable, and their design is intrinsically sleek and professional. My Swiss watch is more durable, but it is also larger and heavier, while the Seiko is at least half the weight of the Swiss Military and half the thickness. This is good for me because I have very small wrists, so the smaller and sleeker the watch, the better it looks on my wrist. I prefer metal bands to resin bands, because metal ones are much easier to keep loose, which creates less perspiration between the wrist and the watch. Also, metal bands are more durable than resin and they look much, much better. I started off wearing watches because I felt they were very stylish and they added to my overall appearance. And, yes, I admit, because everyone else was wearing one. (At least I didn't succumb to buying a Fossil watch like everyone else) However, throughout the course of my wearing a watch, I have found they are actually quite useful for, of all things, telling time. I also found it extremely useful to have the date on my watch.
Taos
I have a chrome plated Guess watch that my girlfriend bought me for my birthday a couple years ago. It has a metal band and I really like the silver/chrome look.
Rogue Nine
I like pocket watches myself. I used to have a really nice digital one that I wore all the time, but it started giving me this really funky rash. So no more wristwatch. I've got to find me a nice pocketwatch. Currently I have a digital watch that I keep in my pocket, but I keep inadvertently pressing the buttons and messing everything up on it. Plus the strap makes it cumbersome. I've got to find something that I can strap to my lanyard or something. As long as it can tell me the date and time, I'm happy.
Ratmjedi
Well before I was into the Techie watches with all the cool additions. I use to have a Casio that had a lot of cool things on it. It had a digital compass, barometer, told the tempeture, and I could also take it SCUBA diving if I wanted too. It had a plastic band. The ones that are rubber like. The thing that sucks is that the band started to get a tear and then I stopped wearing it cause I was afraid that I was going to have it come off or something. Before that watch I use to have the calculator watche that Casio made where you could do simple math with. I lost that one and don't remember where it is at. I want to get a nice Seiko watch that is part of the Kinetic series. They are pretty cool cause you don't need a battery for them. They have a little servo or gyro in them that makes energy when ever you move your wrist and actually stores it. They are also anolog. I also like the style and they look very cool and aren't very childish like my past watches have been. The thing that sucks is that they cost about $150-300 dollars. I am hopefully going to get one soon though. They are also very durable and look very professional while stylish at the same time.

C'jais
Been wearing the same blue digital Casio for 7 years now. I can't stand analog. Maybe it's because I'm horrible at deciphering the time when I look at 'em. I need at least 10 seconds for that.
