Bob Lion54
Wow. I just found out Josh Whedon is writing a Wonder Woman movie. I must admit, I'm a bit sceptical about how it will turn out. Wonder Woman on IMDB.com Wonder Woman has always been a secondary charactor for me. I hope he can make her cool because we need an awsome female superhero. For a moment it might have been Catwoman, but that wound up sucking... Anyway, I'm wondering what people think about this. On IMBD, Priyanka Chopra is listed as "in negotiations." She is an Indian actress that is unknown to the west. Here is a wiki on her. I actually found out about it reading howstuffworks.com. I was suprised when they mentioned a new movie was in the works. Heres the article if you're interested. So, whats your thoughts on a Wonder Woman movie? There is no director mentioned, so who should direct it? Who should be Wonder Woman? ext.. ET Warrior
My faith in Joss Whedon is pretty solid. I believe that if anyone can do it right, it'd be Joss Whedon or Bryan Singer.
Mace MacLeod
Meh. Catwoman wasn't a movie per se, it was just an excuse to watch Halle Berry cavorting around in a leather bikini for an hour and a half.
The Doctor
^ And that's a bad thing... how? I never liked Wonder Woman that much. I don't know what it is, but for some reason, she never appealed to me as a character. The suit was highly appealing, but it gets old after a while. HerbieZ
It will go the way of all the feminist movies in recent times like Charlies Angels, Tomb Raider and Catwoman, it'll flop.
Venom750
I heard somewhere Kate Becksindale was going to play wonder women

RedHawke
I heard somewhere Kate Beckinsale was going to play wonder women This would be a good and noble thing...
Sabretooth
*raises hand* I know Priyanka Chopra. She's got the look for Wonder Woman, but I doubt her ability to act the character very well. It's good there are two more Indian names in the speculation list. Aishwarya Rai won't make the cut. She's a disaster in the west. Bipasha Basu can be good, I suppose. A better candidate than Chopra, IMO. But what the hell, I can't be interested. Never was a WW fan.

El Sitherino
I call fantasy vote for 1970's Pam Grier. Hell, even 1990's Pam Grier. Infact, ****ing Pam Grier. or Salma Hayek.
HerbieZ
Catwoman, a woman sleeps with cats and turns into a provocatively dressed "Catwoman" whos goal in the movie was what exactly? To fight a cosmetics company? Please. That's like me sleeping with sheep and waking up to feel the urge to give Gillette a run for their money. Basically im not saying that having the main protagonist a woman makes it a feminist movie. Im saying that a movie where the main protagonist is a woman, means it's a crap movie. Adding to that, Aeon Flux and Ultraviolet which i believe are both superhero movies and both died.
Samnmax221
It will go the way of all the feminist movies in recent times like Charlies Angels, Tomb Raider and Catwoman, it'll flop. I wouldn't really call Charlie's Angels a femist movie, it portrays them as a bunch of dumb bitches.

Jae Onasi
I grew up with the Wonder Woman show, so I'd probably go see it just for nostalgia sake, as long as she doesn't have pointy metal chest armor.
El Sitherino
Would be kind of cool if they had Linda Carter play Wonder Woman again. Use the old theme too, "WONDER WOMAN! WOOOM-AAAAN!"
Bob Lion54
In the howstuffworks article, they said Charisma Carpenter would make a good WW. I personally like the idea of using a non-American actress because WW is supposed to be Greek if I recall. Maybe a Greek actress? If they do get an American actress, Charisma Carpenter seems good to me. I'd prefer an unknown actress though. I don't want be thinking "Hey, Cordelia is dressed like Wonder Woman." Use the old theme too, "WONDER WOMAN! WOOOM-AAAAN!" YES! No matter whom they get to play Wonder Woman, they must use that theme. They could even take a queue from Spiderman. Like when they have the guy on the street singing the old theme. "Spiderman. Spiderman. Does whatever a spider can." Lovely!
Venom750
There was also a thing in one of the mags that it was a toss up between linsdy lohan which would be crap and Chrisma Carpenter
ChAiNz.2da
Would be kind of cool if they had Linda Carter play Wonder Woman again. Use the old theme too, "WONDER WOMAN! WOOOM-AAAAN!" Somehow I imagine Sithy twirling around in circles everytime he says this Yes, must have a "cameo" of the original Wonder Woman theme.. and a cameo of Linda Carter in the movie as well... hell, if they can do it for Stan Lee in every Spider-Man movie, they can certainly give the woman who made Wonder Woman a hit her proper respects As long as they go for a more comic related Wonder Woman (where she's an actual bad-ass and can give any male hero a run for their money.. including Superman). The TV series were a little lacking in that respect.. though the same could be said for the 70's version of the Spider-Man series as well
Jae Onasi
Somehow I imagine Sithy twirling around in circles everytime he says this I'll even make that little star crown for him. Definitely a cameo for Lynda Carter. I'd like a decent story and a strong heroine. Doesn't have to be Oscar quality, but just not Cheez Whiz cheesey.
